When Simon Lee was fifteen years old he went on a camping trip with his school. They went to a hill resort and it was the next day that they were held hostage by a group of twelve masked men and women. The teachers who were with the children were tortured.
The children were video filmed and were asked to read ransom notes to their parents.
“The Elfin Marauders” as the kidnappers were called wanted to have their demands of two helicopter loads of gold bullion to be delivered to the camp to take them wherever they wanted to go.
Their demands were met by the Sheriff of the County. The kidnappers were told that they would receive all that they had wanted.
