Coldstrom's roar is heard all through the castle. Elizabeth and the other concubines jump as the very walls seem to tremble and the air becomes sharp and nippy. The sun hides beneath thick clouds, plunging the realm into near darkness and elf lanterns brighten to enhance vision automatically. The concubines are all looking in the direction of Coldstrom's chambers from where the thunderous roar had come from.
"What happened between you two this time?" Several of the concubines ask and they are all looking to her to provide answers.
