Chapter 6: The Doctor's Revelation

520 Words
Dr. Rodriguez's words hung in the air, leaving Lily with more questions than answers. She felt a surge of frustration, wondering why she couldn't remember anything about her past. The doctor seemed to sense her unease and placed a gentle hand on her arm. "Lily, I want to show you something," she said, getting up from her chair. She walked over to a file cabinet and pulled out a folder filled with papers and notes. "This is the folder I've been keeping on you since you arrived," she explained, handing the folder to Lily. As Lily flipped through the pages, she saw notes and observations from Dr. Rodriguez, detailing her treatment and progress. But one entry in particular caught her eye. "Patient's wounds began to glow with a blue light," Dr. Rodriguez had written. "Healing process accelerated, but wounds did not fully close. Patient's life is no longer in danger, but further treatment is needed to fully repair damaged tissue." Lily's eyes widened as she looked up at Dr. Rodriguez. "What happened?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Dr. Rodriguez's expression turned serious. "When I first treated you, your wounds were deep and severe," she explained. "But before I could even bandage them, they started to glow with a blue light. It was... unexpected, to say the least." Lily's eyes scanned the notes again, her mind reeling with questions. What was happening to her? Why were her wounds healing in such a strange and inexplicable way? Dr. Rodriguez seemed to sense her unease and placed a gentle hand on her arm. "Lily, I think it's time we talked to Alex," she said again. "He may be able to help us understand what's going on with you." Lily nodded, feeling a sense of trepidation. What would Alex say? Would he be able to help her uncover the secrets of her past? As they walked out of the doctor's office, Lily felt a sense of uncertainty. She was about to embark on a journey of discovery, one that would take her to the very limits of her understanding. And she wasn't sure if she was ready. As they walked through the pack's territory, Lily couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. Everything was so new and unfamiliar, and yet, she felt a strange sense of belonging. Dr. Rodriguez seemed to sense her mood and smiled. "You're doing great, Lily," she said. "It's okay to take things one step at a time." Lily nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards the doctor. She was kind and caring, and Lily felt lucky to have her in her corner. As they approached Alex's office, Lily felt a sense of nervousness. What would he say? Would he be able to help her uncover the secrets of her past? Dr. Rodriguez seemed to sense her unease and placed a reassuring hand on her arm. "Don't worry, Lily," she said. "Alex will do everything he can to help you." Lily nodded, taking a deep breath. She was ready to face whatever lay ahead, as long as she had Alex and Dr. Rodriguez by her side.
