A month later, we had our son, and it was the happiest day of my life. I had him in my arms and Daniel by the side, sitting and staring at me inadmiration.It was hard to think of how my life changed in just a couple of months. I landed a job at a company I always wanted, had a one-night stand with the boss, got pregnant, and fell in love with him. And now, we had our littlebundle of joy right in our eyes.“He is as handsome as you are”, I commented as I looked at our baby and back at Daniel, who chuckled calmly and took the child in his arms.“I think he has your eyes”, Daniel teased and winked at me, causing me to laugh aloud.I had tears welling up in my eyes when I saw Daniel tending to our child. It looked so adorable that I finally broke into tears.“Don’t cry, my love”, Daniel said as he dropped the baby in his cot and satbeside me, softly caressing my cheeks and placing a soft kiss on my lips.I took a deep breath and nodded my head in understanding. Just then, something special happened right before my eyes. Daniel went down on his knees and stretched out a box, looking into my eyes as he opened the box and brought out the most beautiful diamond ring I had ever seen. “You are special, and the definition of a dream come true. Would you makethis dream of mine forever by becoming my wife?” Daniel asked, and I froze in shock. I shifted on the bed, trying to figure out the best way to react since that came out of the blues.“Oh my God!” I finally mouthed as I looked at Daniel, who was smiling in insatisfaction.“Of course! I would marry you”, I declared, giggling in between and cryingprofusely.This had to be the happiest day of my life because I got two things thatwere so special to my heart…my child and a proposal.The plans for our wedding set into full motion and in the next two months,it was already time to tie the knot with the love of my entire life.I was nervous, excited, anxious, and filled with joy.***It was a perfect day for a wedding. The sun peeked brightly as though it were also excited about what was about to happen.I walked down the aisle, with the bouquet in my hands and a wide smile on my lips. My hair was arranged in an elaborate style, and my white glitteryballroom dress swished almost silently on the carpet aisle.A song rang through my mind relating to love and the aisle If you go downthe aisle when you’re in love, you would be happy forever!It was a big wedding and since Daniel had influence in the country, itwasn’t surprising that many reporters had come to cover the event.The aisle suddenly looked long, and I only prayed that my feet would notgive me away. My legs were shaking fervently, and my eyes were lowered to the ground.I was nervous, anxious, and excited. Just then, I looked up and caught sight of Daniel, who was waiting with the priest. I smiled in relief when Irealized that it was almost the end of the aisle walk.Finally, I stood before Daniel, who couldn’t help smiling.The priest started with the different wedding sermon, none of which me orDaniel paid attention to. We were mostly concerned with getting him to announce us as husband and wife.It was now time for us to read our vows. This was the most anticipated part for us.Daniel cleared his throat as he braced up to go first.“When I dreamt about you, I knew that something great was happening in my life. And when you finally came into my life, I knew that it was an amiracle. You brought peace and made me realize that life was worth living.Your voice was the sweetest I’ve ever heard, and there’s this calmness it brings to my soul each time I hear it. Your patience is out of this world, and the pureness of your heart is the sweetest. I want life with you today and forever. You are the goddess of my life and the one I want to call my own,now and forever. I promise to protect you, no matter how hard the case may be. I would be there to make you smile and never would I hurt you again or make you cry”, Daniel said and blinked off the tears that welled up in his eyes.“You are the greatest gift I’ve had in my life, and I would protect it by all cost!” He said and stared at me calmly.“I promise!” He whispered emotionally.I wiped off the tears that had trickled from the side of my eyes.It was now my turn to say my vows.“You were my boss at first. You ensured that you protected me with everyounce of your strength, even if there was no need to. The truth is that I’mproud I fell in love with you. We all have our weak sides as humans, but no matter what, I still love you. I promise to stand by you, no matter how things turn out to be. You would be my husband and partner!” I said and finally broke into tears. I had planned to read a very long message to him,but my emotions were getting the better part of me.The guests wiped the tears off their eyes. This had to be the sweetest couplethey’ve set their eyes on in a while.“Is there anyone against this union? Say now or forever remain silent”, thepriest said, and for a minute, we held our breath.“I now pronounce them husband and wife!” The priest said, and different sounds rented the air. The sounds of trumpets, music, and applause camethrough, and I dropped the breath that was hung on my chest.“Finally!” I whispered as I moved closer to take his lips into a kiss.“You may now kiss your bride”, the priest announced, and Daniel winked at me, making me blush.We kissed passionately. There was something different about this one…itwas our first kiss since we became man and wife. It felt fantastic!***We laid on the bed of our ocean view room in the Maldives. We are currently having our honeymoon, and it’s been nothing but utmost bliss.Our love story was expanding with each day, and we were convinced that we made the right decision by being together. It was a family vacation toobecause we brought our little son along.This was the very first time we traveled as a family. Daniel couldn’t hold his joy, and this was clear when he bonded with his son almost everyminute.At the end of the day, I’m happy fate landed me a job where I met my heart throb.
