After escaping from the cave, Kelly and Travis could do nothing else but cry. Exhausted and shaking, they sat on the ground and sobbed, and it took a long time before they could stop the tears. Travis was embarrassed to cry in front of people, and if Jon or Chris had been there, Kelly knew he would have stopped. Of course, if Jon and Chris had been there, he wouldn’t have had any reason to cry to begin with. Travis didn’t know for sure what had happened to his brother and foster dad, but he knew Kelly had telepathically seen what each of them had faced when the demons attacked. The glimpse he’d gotten had been upsetting. He realized with good reason that their brother and Chris were most likely dead.
