The journey through the forest felt endless.
I had stopped struggling to escape a long time ago.
Not because I trusted them, but because I was tired, exhausted, broken.
Every step I took sent pain through my body. My feet burned. My muscles screamed. My eyelids felt heavy from lack of sleep.
Still, the warriors surrounding me never relaxed.
Not even once.
They walked silently through the forest not even uttering a single word, their expressions blank .
Ahead of us was the Alpha king.
He didn't look back nor did he say anything.
He never acknowledged my existence.
Yet somehow I always felt his presence constantly.
Heavy.
Unavoidable.
Dangerous.
As we moved deeper into the territory, the more things became stranger.
The forest changed.
