Chapter 35: Falling
Falling. It all happened in slow motion, the shock of having nowhere else to land but the cold hard ground and the surprise that Liam had pushed her boggled her mind.
Then the rushing wind brushes through her ears and body aggressively and that's when she finds her voice.
She was falling, and there was nobody there to save her, not even Liam who stared in wonder. Did he want to kill her? Was all of this a mistake?
"You're a demon, you shouldn't be scared of falling." Liam's words resounded in her head.
