Chapter 71: river of tears It felt different, flying. Esme drifted in and out of the clouds effortlessly. Using her wings now made her feel like it had been ages. The freedom at the tip of her feathers was something she'll never get used to. Pushing herself upwards, the rush of the winds pushed her higher into the clouds. Her closed eyes fluttered open, she was now in between the cloud. From up there, she had an aerial view of the city. Everything looked so small, tiny, vulnerable even.
