CHAPTER 17: Knight in shining armor
She had nowhere to go to, her friends had gone, her dad had left her and now she was alone.
The sidewalk was empty except for the black Volvo car she had gotten accustomed to. Beside the car stood Kyle, with his hands on the backs of his pants.
He didn’t look much different, his hair was styled to the side, his eyes were covered in dark shades, making it hard for her to know if he was actually looking at her. His face was in a straight shape, his face had no menacing glare or his lips in a mocking smirk.
The driver climbed down from his car and walked up to Esme.
“Mr. Knight asks that you join us.” He said in his posh accent. Esme's eyes moved to the driver for a second, the man’s black eyes were blank, they had this professional look.
