When Two Beasts Fell in Love

Chapter 20

For the first time, Angelique’s facial expression changed. She was confused by all the things that were happening to her, just the mere sight of the woman. 

For Angelique, she's interesting and her beauty couldn’t compare with anyone. It really affected Angelique, big time. She didn't know what to do anymore. 

So, before she could do something evil, she chose to run back home. She made sure the beautiful maiden won’t see her. 

That maiden is Chiara or Kiara on her human form. She never saw her on her human form so she didn’t know that it was her best friend. The only person who accepted her. 

She already realized that Kiara is a werewolf when she saw the wolf of the family that came from Kimberly’s pack. She didn’t say anything but she prayed that she was safe and she will see her again. 

She was catching her breath when she reached the pack border. The half-hour run only took ten minutes for her because of her panic. 

“I need an answer!” she said, full of eagerness. 

She ran back to the Central. She needs to find Serio or much better if Conor because he knew more than anyone else what was happening to her. 

While running, she calmed herself. No one should know her weakness, and this instance shows her weakness, her emotion. It will not bring her any help in the future. 

“Oh! Why are you running so fast?" Serio asked her. He just came out of his house and he was startled by Angelique's sudden appearance. 

“Is Uncle Conor here?" Serio’s brows knitted but he pointed out Conor who just came out of their training house. “Good! I need to talk to both of you!" 

Angelique didn’t know that time her voice was full of authority. Whoever heard her nearby trembled because of the force that was forcing them to kneel. Even Serio became shaky but she fought it. He still needs to know something. 

“Let’s go inside,” he said, giving Angelique space so she can enter the house. He gestured to Conor to come. Conor was so confused but still approached him. 

“What’s the matter, Serio?" he asked. 

“I think something happened to Angelique," he said which made Conor’s confusion get bigger. 

“What do you mean?” 

“You will know when you see Angelique.” He walked inside first and Conor followed. But her forehead knitted when she saw the young girl sitting down and indeed, something changed at her. 

“Do you experience some changes?” he asked her. 

“What is happening to me? Why does this thing grow between my legs and disappear?” she seriously asked them. She didn’t ask them to sit, all she wanted was the answer. 

“Did you see your mate?” Angelique stilled when she heard it. She remembered the woman she saw a while ago. 

“I saw a beautiful woman and her scent was driving me crazy.” she softly said, no trace of anger anymore. She became soft because of her mate, and she knew it. 

“You already found her, and that’s why something grows. It is the way of the moon goddess to preserve your bloodline.” He pointed to one of the chairs. “Can we sit, first?” 

“Sure,” she said. 

“Thank you," they both said in unison that made Angelique confused but she never asked anything. 

“As what I am saying, in our race or rather in your bloodline, there’s really a tendency for a woman to feel in love with another woman. To help them up, the Goddess gifted them this gift. This is to help them procreate and their bloodline to continue. It was so popular in our race before, because your grandfather's parents were both women. A great woman who helped this kingdom to gain its peace, but already forgotten because of your father's misdeeds.” To what Angelique heard, she understands now. 

“I remembered them. They’re both great leaders. They have the strength of a man but with the heart of a woman. They became the best role model anyone should follow. They were also blessed by the Moon Goddess and that is their blessing… and far as I know, it especially appears when you saw your mate and you thought something s****l with them.” Serio's voice has a tone of teasing in it. 

“Let's not talk about my s****l affair because I won’t do it,” she firmly said.

“But the bond will pull you to her. You can not break the bond.” After Conor said it, Angelique glared at him. 

“Who said I will break the bond?” 

“I-I thought you didn’t want her?” For the first time, Conor stuttered. If Angelique’s gaze could kill, he was already six feet below the ground. 

“So, what do you want to do with her?” Serio tried to lose the tension and it happened when he asked. 

“I won’t let her see me. It is not the right time for us to be together. I don’t like to show some weakness. My father will use it against me." She looked outside, with no emotions again. Both men looked at her with understanding. Her father was the worst, they couldn’t judge her if it is what she wanted. 

Her father is a demon. He will kill as he pleases. He will do evil things just to show his power. He will do anything just to take whatever he wants. Lucio killed his daughter, actually all of his offspring, because he is afraid that one day, one of them will take everything from him. He didn’t want to share what he had. 

“So, back to the topic." She was still sensitive when they spoke of the man who killed her family. “It is natural for my body to develop those changes. I am fine with that, as long as my mate is a woman. I am gay since then." She shrugged like it was nothing. 

“And one more thing.” Conor interrupted her train of thoughts. 

“There's more?” 

“Yes. Because of you seeing your mate, you became more powerful. You became a true Alpha. These changes will help this pack, and we will have a meeting later.”  With Serio’s statement, Angelique thought about what might happen. 

“Are you thinking that I will be your Alpha?”

“Yes. For a long time, we didn’t have an Alpha, and having one will make everyone stronger. A pack that has an Alpha is more powerful than those who do not,” he explained. 

Angelique also read it in her grandfather's note. She didn't know it was true. 

But the question is, is she capable of handling a great responsibility? What if she made a bad decision in the future that may cause the life of the people? She was already overthinking. It was not right. 

“I will think about that,” she said. She stood up and left them there. They know she will think about it but it is her destiny. She had to be their Alpha. 

“Let’s hold a meeting first. All of them should be there.” Conor nodded to what Serio said. 

They both walked out of the tent and announced the urgent meeting. Everyone was so confused but they all came 

Five kids came, they became handsome and beautiful as time passed by. Kimberly became a beautiful lady that every lad admired. But she was focused on her study and cultivated herself on fighting. 

Clark and Kevin became strong because they really worked hard. They wanted to protect their family, especially those younger than them. Pink and Hazel also grew to be more cute kids anyone wanted to have. 

The pack also grew. Their size was indescribable. Angelique helped everyone who was in need and she brought them to the pack. They were different races, but for once they united as one. 

“Thank you for coming today,” Serio spoke and everyone listened to him. “First, I wanted to talk to White Fang, in private.” 

They all nodded and followed Serio. They walked inside a building and stood still, ready to hear what their elder was going to say. 

“For how many years, we didn't have the real power. We all have been hiding, afraid someone will kill us. But when Angelique came, everything changed. We experience bountiful blessings and the Goddess forgives our sin. Now, we have to give back and also regain our power. Some of you experienced it a while ago, the authority of an Alpha.” Serio looked at them and they nodded to one another. 

One of them raised his hands, Serio nodded for him to speak. “We already knew that. And if you wanted to put Angelique as our Alpha, we are not against it. Instead, we are grateful to have her as our Alpha.”

“Yeah. She always hears us if we are complaining, then the following day she will give it to us," a female said. 

“She did many things to us. But especially, she gave us hope.” An elderly spoke her heart contains. 

Serio smiled. “So it means, you are not against if I held Angelique as our Alpha?”

Instead of disapproval, everyone cheered hearing it. Serio smiled at what he saw. He was proud of his pack. 

While outside…

“We knew, we are all different races but we lived as one. We understood each other and we did not fight. But it is not enough. We treated ourselves as a pack but we are missing one component of the pack, the most important one. But now, we have the opportunity to have it if you all will agree.” Conor looked at everyone and saw how they listened to him. He smiled because he knew everyone will agree later. “We need an Alpha, and that Alpha had already shown her true power a while ago. We have waited for this moment to come, and here it is.” 

“Are you suggesting that our big sister will be the Alpha?” Kimberly asked. 

“You are right. She hasn’t decided yet but she will be. So, are you with me or against this?" He asked them. Choosing an Alpha was not the work of one person but the cooperation and opinions of many. 

“We are not against it. Rather, we approve of it very much." Conor smiled at it. Everyone saw how Angelique even with her tough demure. They knew how good-hearted Angelique was. 

Later, the White Fang came back. They smiled at each other. They already knew what will be going to happen. 

“For now, let’s wait for Angelique to agree. She has many doubts, but we all know what she is capable of.” They nodded to Conor. 

“We will call another meeting. And that meeting will be the announcement of our Alpha and the name of our pack." They all gave their respect and they all went out to do their chores. 

Both men looked to the sky. 

It was so clear and blue. It was a good day to start a new life. The Goddess really blessed them with a person that can bind them as one. 

An angel to their eyes, but a devil to others. In a few days, a new pack will form. A pack where everyone can co-exist with others. A happy and bountiful pack anyone wished to have.
