EPISODE 6: HEADQUARTERS

Tobias suddenly woke up because of multiple knocks he heard from his door. At first he tried to ignore it but after a couple more, the knocks turned to light banging on the door. He looked up at the clock to see that it is already 10 in the morning. He stood up and put on his bathrobe and quickly walked to the door to check the person who was knocking.

He opened the door and upon opening it Emilia straightly went inside ranting "it's already 10 in the morning Tob and you're still on your bed? What happened to the most punctual police captain? We still don't have a plan on what we'll do today.

You know wha-" she stopped talking when she saw a bottle of beers on the floor. "You drank last night and didn't bother to invite me?" She said while placing her hands on her waist. "What? You want me to invite you

here to my room to drink?" Tobias answered. This made Emilia blush but she quickly answered "That's not what I meant. Idiot." She then turned around and added "So what's the plan today?". "Do you already know what happened to MCPD headquarters the other day?" Tobias asked. "Yeah, I saw it on the news earlier today. They already reported it on TV."

Emilia answered. "I guess we should start there then ask a few officers there since that is the last place Black was seen in public." She added. This caused Tobias to remember what happened last night. He saw Black face to face. But he decided not to tell this to Emilia and instead just nodded to what she said. "Okay just go and prepare, I'll go now. Just knock on my door once

you're done." Emilia then went out of the room.

Tobias went in the shower to go take a bath before going out. While on the shower he still remembers the moment that happened last night. He has a very on point pictographic memory and he is remembering it to check if there were any clues he can use to know who black is.

But because it was dark last night, plus the guy was wearing all black clothing and a mask it was really hard to get any clues with that. It was just bothering him because he knew his name. He knows he is quite popular in Bordeaux but he was not as popular here in Mersham.

He can even eat at a restaurant without any girl or child bothering him to take some pictures and autographs. Even the hotel staff here is treating him like he's someone ordinary. That means only a few persons in Mersham know who he is. "Don't die here Tobias." That phrase keeps on echoing on and on.

Does that mean someone dangerous already knows he's here? If black wanted to kill him he could have attempted last night already right? But instead it's as if Black warned him about something.

"It's no use thinking here, I need more information." He thought to himself. He finished up and quickly dressed so that he could start finding answers to his questions quickly. Deep down he wishes to find anything, even just a little spark in the MCPD headquarters today.

As usual he's wearing his white polo and red necktie with his famous brown trench coat. Of course with his blonde hair brushed up neatly. He got out of his room and went on to knock on Emilia's door which she opened just after a few short knocks. She has her brown hair tied to a bun. Her eyebrows and eyeshadows are nicely done.

She has this cute vibe coming out of her

because of her blushing cheeks and light lipstick really going well with her red dress. "Looking good today partner." Tobias said. "Still not used to it Tob?" Emilia answered and they both laughed. After that they went on the elevator to go downstairs.

From there they went on to ride a cab going to MCPD headquarters. After 30 minutes they arrived. Damages from the explosion are still visible on the building. Burn marks and destroyed parts of concrete are still there.

Despite this they can still see some cops going in and out of the building. "Isn't it a little dangerous for them to continue using that building? They should have atleast relocated temporarily right." Emilia

uttered. Tobias just walked to one of the cops standing outside and Emilia quickly followed. "Captain Tobias Bristle from Bordeaux City Police Department." He said to the cop standing outside while showing his badge.

The cop quickly saluted him and asked "What can I do for you sir?". "May I ask if this headquarters is still operating?" Tobias answered. "No sir were just accompanying a group of building inspectors here who are checking the integrity and safety of the remaining part of the headquarters. But our operations are still on going and we temporarily relocated to the South

Wing Building of the City Hall sir." Said the cop answering Tobias' question. "Okay thank you." Tobias said before leaving and getting into another cab heading to the city hall.

While on the cab Emilia spoke and said "You know it still bothers me what really is the intention of this Black guy. It's not like

you can get money from a police headquarters right?". "He just wants to kill

people, that's really clear madam." The cab driver answered. "You know in

Mersham we have a lot of crimes here. We saw a lot of guys like him already. He's just a normal terrorist killing and damaging properties." The driver added. "Yeah it seems so." Emilia answered while Tobias kept silent.

After almost another 30 minutes they arrived. Tobias paid and they went off the Cab. They ask someone there to know which is the South Wing Building and the guy they spoke to nicely told them the directions. While walking Tobias said "He did not just want to kill people the other day." In which Emilia replied "Uhmm explain?". "If he just wanted to bomb the

headquarters to kill people there, he didn't have to show up. Reports say after the explosions multiple cops who survived the blasts saw him walking inside the headquarters.

That means he was there to get something." Tobias explained. "Good point." That was all Emilia could say. "It wasn't about money. As you said there's no money in a police headquarters, he was there to get something more important for him." Tobias added. "And what could that possibly be?" Emilia asked after a few seconds of silence.

"That's what I want to find out today." He answered.

After a few more minutes they arrive at the temporary headquarters for the MCPD. They talked to another cop and after identifying themselves, the cop directed them to an office. After knocking the cop opened the door and they saw a woman signing some paperworks. The woman in the office directed them to sit down on the chairs in front of her desk. "Captain Michelle Margaret right? As I see here on the name written on your desk. I am Captain Tobias

Bristle from Bordeaux City Police Department."

After saying that Tobias offered his hand for a handshake in which Michelle just stared on to. She just stood up and started signing some papers again. "I thought you were just another set of journalists wanting an interview." Michelle answered.

Tobias drawed back his hand at that point. Michelle then spoke while still signing some papers ``What can I do for you Captain Tobias?". "We just want to know do you have any leads or information on what could be the reason as to why you were attacked the other day?” Tobias asked.

Michelle stopped what she was doing and looked directly at Tobias. "This is an

inside problem Captain. Bordeaux City Police Department has nothing to do with this." Michelle answered. "I'm sorry I cannot entertain more questions as you can see I'm very busy at the moment because of the

incident the other day. If you want you can set up a proper meeting with me on a different day so that I can accommodate you a little better. But as of now just to answer your question out of respect, we're still investigating. That's all I can say. It's nice to meet you Captain Tobias Bristle, it's really not just a good time. You know your way out."

After saying that Captain Michelle then continued again on signing papers. Tobias and Emilia then stood up and went out of the office. Upon shutting the door behind them Emilia said "What was that?". Tobias just shrugged his shoulder when suddenly.. "Psst" someone in a cubicle on their far right was calling their attention. The person was signaling them to come closer so they did. Upon reaching the cubicle of the person calling them, the man offered his hand to Tobias. "Captain Tobias Bristle?" Said the man and Tobias quickly accepted the handshake. "Detective Marvin Gourdon." The man added.
