Its just 4 in the morning on a normal busy monday of every adult's life. Tobias has already finished eating his favorite pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast, taking a bath of warm water, neatly got in his usual white polo and red necktie, and of course brushed up his hair. He always say that the hair is the longest part of the process since it takes up almost 45 mins of his time. His house was not exactly a mansion but it was above average. It was very modern in terms of design. It is a house full of glass, that's the best way to describe it. So Tobias got in his mustang and drove off to Bordeux City Police Department to work. After a 20 minute drive, he arrived at the headquarters. "Looking good today partner" says Emilia as they meet in the hallway. This is Tobias' partner Emilia Riggs. She is a 27 year old woman, 5 feet 5 inches in height. She has a long brown hair that actually goes oddly well in her brownish red eyes and brown skin. She is very beautiful for anyone's standard. "Still not used to it Em?". Emilia just smirked and said "Well by the way I have a big news for you." Emilia grabbed him by his arm as they walked faster into Tobias' office. Once they got in Emilia quickly locked the door and closed the blinds. "I know I look good today but please be professional Em" Tobias jokingly said to his partner in which she replied "Idiot." It was very obvious she blushed but she quickly brushed it off and she said "I have it, I have the evidence we have been waiting for." She is talking about the evidence they needed against General Craig Sanders of Bordeux City Police Department. The evidence tying him to the mafia controlling drugs and human trafficking in Mersham City. The Leonè Mafia has been there in that city for almost 100 years now. The leadership has been passed from father to son but a year ago they mysteriously vanished. The sudden vanishment of this big mafia that has connections with the police and government caused panic for every faction playing in the underground of the city. Police Generals covering them up panicked because they do not have any clues as to why the mafia vanished so they mobilized they're own private armies to know what happened. Other mafias and gangs in Mersham's underground has been at war with each other ever since Leonè's downfall trying to be the next great mafia of the city. But even the great Tobias Bristles cannot fix the problem there since its out of his jurisdiction. So what he did was try and uncover the Police Generals involved and through leads he got his eyes on his own General Craig Sanders. "Show me" Tobias said. Emilia quickly brought out a flash drive. "This contains a recording, Graig ordering someone to take out a certain guy named Black." "Craig believes this guy has the information and the book that contains all transactions between him and Leonè Mafia, that's all said in the recording" Emilia said with a low tone of voice. "How did you even get this?" Tobias asked. "Well I just put a tracker on Craig's car to check what places he usually goes. After a month of observation I learned that every friday he goes to a certain alley in Mersham, I went there and surveyed the place. It was an unfinished building with estimated 50 floors. Most of it is hollow but on the 49th floor I saw an office. I placed a recorder there and then here's what I got." Emilia explained. "So that's what you're busy with huh, that's why you weren't there when the incident happened a month ago." Tobias answered. "Well yes, I know you can deal with that incident so I just continued doing this secret work we have". Emilia said. The incident that happened a month ago is the incident that will put Tobias' name on the history books. This year after 8 months since the fall of the Leonè Mafia, certain group from Mersham has been gaining fame because of their brutality and how they handle their enemies. It's a 5 man group who's leader is Mer Valkovsky, the right hand man of Marco Leonè who was the last leader of the Leonè family. This 5 man group are the elite mercenary of the Leonè's but after their mysterious disappearance, they made a name for themselves through bank robberies and killings of other gang and mafia leaders of the city. Just last month they appeared on Bordeux City Airport and hostaged a passenger plane. This was very out of character for the group and no one knows why they did it. They had nothing to gain from that and the newspapers simply said "they were out of their minds". The Captain rushed in to the scene as the mercenaries specifically said they want to talk with Tobias himself. Tobias went inside the plain and then Mer's group let all the passengers go out. After almost two hours the Captain went out bathing in blood. All of the 5 members of the group were dead. "It was complete hell when we walked inside, blood and gunshots are everywhere." Said one of the first responders. Every journalist in the city followed the Captain everywhere to know what really happened inside the plane but to no avail. No one said what really happened. But inside the plane, the first reponders actually saw something that sent chills inside their spine. The famous white katana of the Captain is still pierced through Mer Valkovsky's gut which is sliced diagonally. This caused internal organs to actually pour out from his body which caused an horrendous scene. After that day the Bordeux City Police Department released statements, and newspapers were very fast to react. "Everyone is safe, all the hijackers are dead: Thank you Captain" that is the headline the next day. "You know you never really told anyone what actually happened in that plane, no one knows what actually happened. Even me." Emilia said breaking Tobias' stare on his desk. Tobias just smirked and said "Yeah, even me." This caused confusion on Emilia but she did not actually pushed through with the topic. "Well let's just go and listen to this shall we?". Tobias went to his laptop and jacked in the flash drive. They both were listening to the recording through Emilia's earphones when suddenly Tom went in without knocking. Tom Landers, a detective in the BCPD. He's actually not a friend and is your typical asshole police in every story. Him and Tobias are not in very good terms since day 1. He is one of the police officers Tobias and Emilia is secretly investigating because of his "unusual" close relationship with General Craig. "You know having sensual moments during time of work is very unacceptable right?". "Why don't you go f**k yourself Tom?" Emilia answered and Tobias quickly tapped her. "What can I do for you Tom?". "Well I just want to pass this papers that needs approval from you my great Captain. And oh by the way, General Jimm is calling you in his office." Tom just went in and dropped the papers then went out of Tobias' office. "We'll continue this later" Tobias said while leaving Emilia in his office. He walked and went in to General Jimm Marker's office. "Tom said you're calling me." Tobias said while sitting down on the chair in front of General Jimm's desk. "Yeah, you know you can trust me with everything right?" General Jimm said. And its true, General Jimm Marker has a very great reputation in the BCPD. He lived his police life in the right way. Not even accepting a single cent from anyone. He is Tobias' mentor and father figure since his own father's passed. "Tobias, its already been a month since the airport incident and no one knows what really happened. We didn't even get a report from you. I have been covering this up for you since last month and to be honest my hands are getting full now. If you continue to be silent about this the two of us will be in trouble soon" said General Jimm. "Let's have a drink later after our shifts. My treat." After saying that Tobias went out and returned to his office, Jimm just sighed as he watches Tobias leave his office. Emilia left a note saying she went out as she has other work to do but she left the flash drive still jacked in on Tobias' laptop. Tobias locked the door and closed the blinds and he continued to listen to the recording which was almost 2 hours long. Its true. This is the evidence he needs. He quickly made a report and placed it in a brown envelope together with the flashdrive. He spent the rest of the day doing the paperworks Tom asked him for. And when he looked at the clock it was almost 5 in the afternoon already. "Lunch forgotten again." Tobias whispered to himself. He cleaned his desk neatly and took the brown envelope with him as he heads out to General Jimm's office since they will be having a drink after their shift. He covered the brown envelope with his trench coat and went out of his office.
