She wasn’t sure how long they had danced, she wasn’t sure if it had been minutes, hours, she wasn’t sure at all, but what she was sure of was that she enjoyed every second of it, and that she was…..exhausted.
Heavens ,she was spent.
“Need a break?”. He asked her, his eyes told her he was amused, she dared think he had enjoyed every bit of it just as much as she had.
She nodded.
“Come”. He said.
His fingers went around her wrist and he began walking away taking her along with him. They wove their way through the crowded room and soon enough they were walking down a less crowded hallway, the dim lighting and low music gave it a sense of…..calmness, like the party they had left not long ago had long been left behind. Couples were perched around, indulging themselves in a thing or two, the serenity of it all was out of place.
“Tell you what, secret”. He said. “I’m glad the world was shitty enough to make you wanna blow of some steam tonight, I’m glad you came to my party”.
She chuckled. She was getting comfortable with him, especially because in a house full of horny guys he hadn’t even tried to make an attempt to get under her skirt, hadn’t even suggested anything like that.
“So”. She started. “Where are we going?”.
Her gaze wandered off to some paintings hanging on the walls, they were those ancient kinda paintings illustrating people in the nudes, the kinda ones that would fit perfectly in a museum of erotism. If she was to be honest with her judgment she thought the concept of it was cool, or at least meaningful.
“To meet the others”. He told her.
“Rena and…..”. She trailed of as she tried recalling the other guy’s name.
He nodded.
“Nick”.he supplied. “There’s Cam, Asher, and Steph too”.
She would have been confused had she not recalled Rena saying something about a Cam earlier in class. She wasn’t sure how she felt about being introduced to a group of frat guys who by the look of things seemed to be the elites, giving that this was Cameron’s party and all. However, she let him lead her on.
“You’ll like them”. He said, then on a second thought he added “That’s if you like me”.
Again, she chuckled.
He lead her down the hallway and into a bend which lead to yet another dimly lit room, a gaming room by the look of it, and in it was a handful of people clustered around a table with a lying in the middle of it, Rena and Nick being the only faces she recognized.
They all turned to turned to face the door when they walked in, they stared at her blankly and it took a moment before a whistle sounded.
“My goodness, Cam”. A guy whose hair had stripes of white in it spoke lowly, his gaze raked over her figure and the lustful look in his eyes wasn’t hard to see. “Brought a friend to join the click?”.
“y’all meet Cat”. Cam said disregarding what he had said. He began walking to a couch, his fingers still encircled around her wrist. “Cat from Phil. 301”.
The last part was directed at Rena and Nick.
She smiled at Rena who stared at her with her mouth exaggeratedly hanging open.
“That d**k over there is Asher”. Cam said gesturing to the guy who had spoken earlier. “That’s Steph”.
His eyes shifted to a girl with needle straight hair which was dyed a light shade of purple, she struck the typical frat picture wither black painted nails and lips, she sat beside Nick dressed in a little purple dress, the darkness of it was such that it could have been mistaken for black.
Catherine cast her a soft smile to which she responded to by nodding subtly.
“And she’s Cam, Camilla”. Cam concluded the introduction. “My Girlfriend”.
She nodded slowly as her gaze shifted to the peroxide blonde seated beside Rena. She noticed there was something dark about her gaze, or perhaps there was nothing at all, perhaps she thought so simply because she felt an uncomfortable tinge of……
She wasn’t sure what she felt, all she knew was that she hadn’t expected Cam to have a girlfriend.
“Hi, Cat”. Camilla said dryly.
She was about to say something when the others chirped in.
“Goodness Cat”. Rena said at last. ”Like…..who would have thought?”.
“Yeah Yeah”. She hummed quietly.
Who would have thought, indeed.
“My thought exact”. Cam said as he crashed onto the couch taking her with him, a yelp left her before she could stop herself.
“Careful there Cam”. Asher said. ‘We wouldn’t want her dress riding up”.
Rena and Nick snickered while Steph and Camilla watched quietly.
Catherine cleared her throat uncomfortably, she fixed her dress which hadn’t at all ridden up. it was one thing to have let Cam feel her up, but Asher: there was something about the way he looked at her, it was disgusting.
“You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”. Cam said throwing Asher a subtle glare.
Asher smirked unremorsefully; his gaze lingered on Catherine’s propped up boobs for a while longer.
“Where’d you find her”. Steph spoke up.
“Main hall.”. cam answered. “Anyway, it’s obvious that Cat isn’t our kinda girl”.
“Really? Doesn’t seem that way to me”. Nick said smirking.
The others snickered.
“Yeah, she fits perfectly”. Rena said.
Cam chuckled.
“Well don’t get use to her being around.”. he told them. “She only her to blow off some steam, come sunrise she’ll be back to normal and it’d be like she was never here”.
Catherine nodded. She wasn’t planning on doing this ever again.
“Perfect”. Camilla declared. It seemed she had been dying to hear that. She cast her a saccharine sweet smile. “We were playing truth or dare before you guys walked in, join us”.
And they did.
And while the young student indulged herself in countless rounds of truth or dare, the professor worked himself silly in his study, it wasn’t till the party was long over and the student had returned to her dorm room did he step out of the confines of his study and found the house void of her presence.
Though wanting nothing to do with his student he understood that he was responsible for her regardless of it all, so he returned to his study, found the file he had been given regarding his bride and went through it, his gaze lingered on her age: 20, he had married a student, a child, what had he gotten himself into?
Finding her contact, he copied it and dialed it. And while he waited for an answer the young student lay sprawled on her bed sleeping exhaustedly, her phone; long tossed aside.
