THE COFFEE SHOP
"Valerie! Why are you back so soon? Is there any problem?" Valerie's mom asked, she notices her daughter's gloomy face and placed her hands on her head
"Mom", Valerie said with a shaky voice as the tears she'd been holding off began to fall down her cheeks. Her mom grabs her and holds her gently, giving her gentle pats on her back.
"Come on darling, what's the matter my child?
" Mm- - - mom, I've been sent out of school and it's because I've not paid my tuition fees for this semester and the previous one" Valerie replied with her tear stained face.
Valerie's mom held her daughter even tighter and said "come on baby, everything's gonna be alright, don't worry sweetie"
Valerie left the embrace of her mom and wiped her tears with her hands, "mom I don't even want to go to school anymore, I know this will repeat itself. I'll just accept this as my fate" she replied in a less angry tone.
"But you need to Val, don't worry I…..
"No mom! Valerie cut her mom short, You said this the last time I'm tired of it, dad left us alone and we have nothing. I know you try your best but mom we both need to do this together, just working as a janitor is not going to do anything for us" Valerie countered her mom.
"Val" her mom said in a warm tone as tears was trying to fall down her cheeks
"Mom no! This time we're going to do what I want okay. Do you think I'm crying because I got sent out? No mom! It's because I'm tired of seeing you work yourself out and I just watch without helping you" "mom I'm going to help you okay? Don't worry we'll overcome this together alright? If we save up enough money we can open our own business and we'll be successful".Valerie said in a more calm tone as she held her mom's cheek with her palms
Her Mom gave a nod and hugged her daughter tightly with tears cascading down their cheeks as they comforted each other.

"Morning Uncle Vill" Valerie greeted a middle-aged man behind a counter wearing an apron that read 'KKKofee' as she entered a shop that read the same thing, 'KKKofee'
"Morning, how's my little Val doing?" Uncle Vill inquired in a sweet tone.
"I'm fine Uncle"
He gives Valerie a questioning look, and asks "are you sure? In a worried tone.
"Of course uncle" Valerie replied with a smile on her face.
"Alright then, if you say so" Valerie pulls a chair and sits.
"So what brings you here Val, and hope your mom is okay?"
"Yes uncle, mom is perfectly fine"
"Alright that's good" uncle Vill replied as he picks up a glass cup from a tray and began cleaning it with a small rag. He looks up to Valerie and notices her worried face and said "You still haven't answered me Val, what brings you here dear? You seem worried"
"Well Uncle, I've dropped out of school and I'm looking for little jobs I can do to help mom"
"Wait….wait…wait.. dropped out you say? Why? What happened?" Uncle Vill asks visibly worried
"It's a long story uncle, but I need your help"
"Hmmm…so how can I help you Val?
"Well uhm.. I was wondering if you could help me get a job somewhere" Valerie said
"Val, you know it's not going to be easy"
There's a sudden pause between the two of them that lasted seconds until uncle Vill got an idea.
"Ahaa! How about you work here and still look for some other side hustle to do huhnn, that way you can earn some cool cash"
"Really!! Oh thank you Uncle, thank you so much
"Oh it's nothing Val, anything for you dear, this is the least I can do for you. You can start tomorrow, okay?"
"Sure uncle! Th……. Valerie was interrupted by the ringing of her phone, she picks it up and saw that it was Ida calling
"Hello wassup Ida?
"Hey Val are you at home? Ida asked
"Uhm no, not really, I'm at Uncle Vill's coffee shop.
"Oh okay, I think I'm close by, wait for me there okay? I'll be with you shortly"
"Alright Ida" Valerie said as the call was disconnected
"It was ida" Valerie said as she looked up to Uncle Vill
"Oh okay"
"Uncle can I get two Americano please? Ida is going to stop by here"
"Sure thing" Uncle Vill starts preparing the coffee as Valerie goes to sit down. Not too long the door to the shop opened. It was ida.
"Good morning Uncle Vill" Ida greeted with a warm smile on her face
"Morning Ida, how are you doing today?"
"I'm great!, Thanks for asking"
The exchange of greetings alerted Valerie and she gets up to welcome her friend.
"Ida!"
"Val" both girls hugged each other and sat down. Uncle Vill brings their coffee.
"Thanks uncle" they said in unison.
"So uhm..Val how did it go?" Ida questioned.
Valerie told Ida everything.
"Really! That's good at least you can help your mom, but I'll no longer see you in school as usual" Ida said looking a little bit sad
"Don't worry, we'll still see each other okay? This is my fate so I just have to accept it"
"Alright Val if you say so, let's go get some fun at the park huhnn"
Valerie giggled and said "oh ida, alright let's go" both girls got up from their seats taking there coffee along with them.
"Uncle Vill we're leaving now!" Valerie said in a high pitched voice
"Alright girls take care of yourselves!" Uncle Vill's voice called out from behind the counter and both girls left the shop.
Both girls are taking sips out of their coffee as they strolled along the road talking with each other until Ida's phone accidentally fell off her purse.
"Yikes!" Ida exclaimed as she bends over to pick it up, when suddenly a loud car horn came from behind, oh no! The car was almost close to Ida
"Ida! Watch out! Valerie yelled as she pulled her friend out of the way and both of them fell down. Suddenly the car stopped, it was a black Lamborghini and a person stepped out of it.
