THE JOB OFFER
It was a man, he seemed to be walking towards Ida and Valerie but was not, he was walking towards the back of his car. He checked that nothing had happened to it and started moving back to enter his car. Valerie notices this as she helps Ida up and yelled,
"Hey! You! Don't you have any manners huhnn? You almost ran over her, you couldn't even apologize?"
The man stopped and slowly turned around, the moment Valerie and Ida saw his face, they were startled.
The man before them was just too alluring.
He was at least 6'6 ft tall, from his abdomen to his arms…..he had just the perfect male body, not to talk of his face, his nose, lips, jaws…. even his light blue eyes which could get one lost in it if they starred at him for too long…..he was even on a black fitted tuxedo that brought out his broad shoulders….damn! He's one good looking young man.
"Why do I have to say sorry?"
The young man questioned, but Valerie and Ida were still lost admiring him, they were brought back to reality when his phone rang
He picked it up and just said "I'll be there"
His voice could even send chills to your bones.
He started moving back to his car when Valerie said
"don't you have any conscience? You still haven't apologized"
"I asked you why I needed to apologize" he replied
"Why?? Are you being serious? You almost knocked her over and you're asking why you need to apologise? Valerie questioned him visibly getting angry
"The road is not meant for you to play on or chitchat, it's for vehicles to drive on, you're the reason that you were almost ran over. You guys are lucky nothing happened to my car" he said and moved to his car and when he was about to enter his car Valerie stopped him saying
"hey! Are you going to die if you just apologize? You're only worried about your car?"
He ignored her, entered his Lamborghini and zoomed off.
Valerie and Ida just stood in awe as they watched the car go out of sight.
"How can someone this good looking be so mean? Ida asked
"That's how they are Ida, rich, good looking but arrogant, well they think they have the whole world revolving around them, just imagine, he couldn't even say sorry, proud cat!"
"Hope you're alright?" Valerie further asked Ida
"Sure Val, let's go okay"
Valerie nodded her head and they both continued their strolling.

Uncle Vill's coffee shop was filled with customers, and Valerie was busy attending to them one after the other. After some hours a young man who seemed to be in his late 40's but was still strong and ajile entered the shop, he was neatly dressed in his all black suit. He seemed to be a butler. He goes to Uncle Vill and they both started chatting with each other. They seem to have known each other before hand.
"Valerie! Get a cup of coffee over here!" Requested Uncle Vill as he continued his chat.
Not too long, Valerie brought the cup of coffee
"Here"she said as she puts it down in front of the man. He looked at Valerie for sometime; more like a friendly look, and said
"Uhmm Valerie, would you like to work as a maid in my Master's house?
The moment she heard the word maid it discouraged her as she thought the pay won't be much
"Uhmm.. no, I don't think I'll want that" she said with her emotions written all over her face.
The man just smiled and said "ohh girl, I know you're worried about the pay, but you're not working for just anyone, and besides the pay is real good
"Really? How much?" Valerie questioned
The man smiled again and asked her to bring her ear closer to his and whispered something that made Valerie be in shock
"Se.. se.. seriously?" Valerie stuttered a little
"Of course dear" the man said as he pulled out a card with the details of the place she'll be working in and hands it over to Valerie.
"Just come by when you're ready okay?" He said with a warm tone of voice
"Oh.. okay"Valerie said and turned to Uncle Vill who was smiling and she returned the smile.
"Well Vill, it was nice to see you again, thanks for the coffee
"Sure thing" Uncle Vill replied
The man turned to Valerie and said
"I'll be waiting for you miss, goodbye" with that he left the coffee shop. Valerie was looking at the card when uncle Vill gave her a gentle tap on her back and said
"You're one lucky girl Val.. you had a job without even stressing yourself to look for one. He works for a very well known billionaire, so I assure you he's legit, Just give it a shot Val, you can help your mom alot from the money you'll be earning, so I advise you to go ahead"
"Thanks Uncle" Valerie said as she hugged Uncle Vill
"No problem Val, I'm always here for you dear" soon after they left each other's grip, Valerie went back to continue attending to the customers.

"Really?"
"Yes Mom" Valerie replied to her mom as she had told her about the job offer
"Well that's good, but are you ready for it? Her mom asked
"Of course mom, I'm ready for it"
"Alright val, good luck my dear" her mom added.
"Thanks Mom" Valerie said as she hugged her mom.
"I'll do my best so I can also support you" she added again.
