Robert had no idea how he rushed out of the bar. All he could think about was seeing Mary. He just needed to see her with his own eyes, to prove that everything was a lie, that Mary was still alive and well. How could she, such a selfish, money-loving person, possibly be dead? But Robert's hopes were destined to be shattered. I was already dead, my death horrific. How could I lie to him now? I remained by my own mangled corpse.
