Our First Love

This is the first day of 12th grade in a new school for Nathalie, she moved to a different school that she got in on a full scholarship. "I'm kinda worried about what my classmates would think of me.. and kinda excited at the same time" Nathalie said on her mind. After battling with herself for about half an hour, she decided to go attend her new school. At the school, she went to look at her schedule and starts to look for her classroom when a guy running up the stairs accidentally bumps into her and spilling the juice he's drinking on her top. "Hey!!" Nathalie yelled at the guy who bumped into her as he continues to run up the stairs. "Great, now I've got a messed up top as I show to class." Nathalie said as she continues to climb up the stairs to her classroom on the third floor. When she entered the classroom listed on her schedule, she found out that the guy who bumped into her was one of her new classmates. She was so angry that she purposefully step on the guy's foot while walking to her seat on the front of the room. The guy said, "Hey!" but she didn't pay him any attention and proceeds to walk to her seat. As she settled down, her seatmate at the time introduced themselves to her which made her feel welcomed and at ease. "Hey, my name is Jasmine, this is Lei, and this is Jhilyn." one of her classmates said. "Hi, my name's Nathalie, it's so nice to meet you." as Nathalie introduced herself to her new seatmates, their first professor for the day entered the room. "Good morning class, let's all settle down. Before we start our class, let's all get to know each other first." Their professor said, as if on cue, the guy on the most left part of the room spoke up, "Good morning guys, my name is RM and I'm 19 years old." and then the next guy spoke. After them it was Nathalie's turn to introduce herself, "Good morning Sir, classmates, my name is Nathalie Martinez, and I'm 17 years old." The list goes on up until the guy who bumped into her earlier, "Good morning guys, I'm Rj Shan Cruz and I'm 20 years old." The professor then spoke, "Good to know all your names, now, let me introduce myself..." After introducing himself, the professor then started to discuss the first lesson for their subject and proceeds to tell the class that for their next meeting, he's gonna assign the seats of his class. He then calls the students one at a time, until he came over Nathalie's name. "Nathalie, seat here at the front row, third column from my right." After Nathalie proceeded to seat on her assigned seat, she heard her professor call the name of her assigned seatmate. "Rj, your seat will be at the front row, fourth column from my right." Nathalie started cursing on her mind, "Oh great, the guy who doesn't know how to apologize and bumps onto someone is my seatmate." Rj proceeds to his seat reluctantly. After assigning the seats to all of his students, the professor then said, "Okay class, I know this is only our first meeting but, you have an assignment on my class. You will need to present me the different types of electromagnetic waves on chemistry by pairs, and your pairs will be your seatmate." A round of applause and screams fill the class because most of the students already know the person seating beside them, except for Nathalie. After their first 3 class of the day, she proceeded to the washroom to freshen up before heading at the canteen on the first floor. She bought some food and planned to ate it at one of the empty tables but failed to find an empty table, there was only an empty seat next to Rj, and she doesn't want to take it so she instead ate her meal at their homeroom. After eating, Rj entered the room and talked to Nathalie, "You, what was your name again? Was is Nat? or whatever, I just wanna ask you what are you planning on our assignment? I don't trust you to do it alone so if you don't have any plans yet, you pick, either we do it at your house or my house tomorrow." Nathalie replied, "Are you crazy? what made you think that I'd go at your house?" Rj responded, "It's gonna be your house then." Nathalie was absolutely dumbfounded at the nerve of this guy, "Okay, mister, I don't want you to come anywhere near my house, and I don't trust you enough for me to come at your house... so back off." Rj replied rather coldly and rudely, "Then tell the teacher that you don't wanna work with me on the assignment." Rj the scoffed when he saw Nathalie's eyes filled with anger and hate for him, but he also notice how her face was kinda charming and intimidating at the same time which intrigued him. Nathalie then spoke while rolling her eyes, "Can you move your face away from me? Weirdo! Fine, let's do it at your house. But know that I won't go at your house when you're alone." Rj laughed and said, "Don't worry, you aren't my taste and also, my mom doesn't usually leave the house as well as my brother so your pretty little mind can rest assure that I'm not gonna take advantage of you." then proceeds to seat on his assigned seat. Nathalie started to curse Rj on her mind, "Ugh, the nerve of this guy!" Rj looked at her and found how irritated she was and he laughed, he found himself admiring how cute she looked behind her thick glasses as she showed irritation towards him. He wanted to say something else to her but he suddenly remembered the last time he tried courting someone and ended up wrecked for almost a year. He started cursing himself on his mind, "f**k, Rj, you know you can't fall in love again. You're only gonna be hurt again, no. I can't let my mom and dad down again." Their next professor soon arrived and they begun to settle down. After their fourth class, Jhilyn and her minions followed her to talk to Nathalie. "Hey girl, do you know that we're gonna have a new classmate from Italy?" Nathalie was somewhat shocked, unsure what to answer, she just said, "Uhm.. what?" Jasmine then responded, "Yea, but you have to worry about him, he's a playboy." "Yea, he admitted his feelings for Hannah then proceeds to go after Jhilyn." Lei added. "Uhm.. okay? Thank you for warning me." Nathalie replied. She was confused as this wasn't what she thought those girls would come to her for. This was all new for Nathalie as she was often unseen in school except for the teachers as she was one of the few who likes to recite during classes. She admits that she's not as smart as the others, but she still has the mentality that no matter if the answer is right or wrong, she's gonna raise her hand because that's the only way she's gonna be able to know if what she thinks is right. Jhilyn also added, "Nathalie, you also have to stay away from Rj, he's mine, okay?" Nathalie was surprised and confused to say the least. "Uhm.. what?" "You heard Jhilyn right, stay away from Rj." Lei replied. Nathalie was confused but she had no other choice but to nod as she didn't want the girls in her class to be mad at her on her first day. She already made an enemy and she didn't wanna add more to that list. "Good, then we're gonna be able to hang with each other during our breaks." Jhilyn said with a grin.
