“Adam”, Joyce called as he came out of the elevator. “When did you get here? I didn’t even see you come in with Mandy.” She knew he was there, because they had a meeting and she had to get him some food, but she never actually saw him.
“That’s because you weren’t at your desk. If you could stop sexting my chauffeur for a minute, you would have seen them for the 11 o’clock meeting with Lachlan” Toby said, coming out of the office with Amanda.
“That’s an image I didn’t want to picture”, Adam grumbled, ignoring Joyce and walking past Toby.
“Wait” Joyce called, coming over to give Adam a hug. “We were all worried about you, myself included.”
“I’ve been home for a few days. You haven’t come over to see me”, Adam said, releasing Joyce’s hands from around him. 'Thank God' he added in his mind
