Chapter 42

Adaline's POV

After lunch we all met in Rachel's office, and by all I mean all, it was sweltering in this room with all the wolves in here. The back two large couches had my aunt, uncle, Barrett's parents, my grandfather and Chloe. The one across from it had Sam, Heather, Holden, Beck, Anthony and Stefan. The smaller couches right in front of her desk held me and Barrett on one and Sebastian and Sophia on the other. David stood next to Rachel's chair while she sat. He took the lead as most of this information came from his wolf Knight.

"Okay, I know a lot has happened these past couple of days and there is a ton of anxiety over it all. I can only handle so many of you at one time to try and calm. So, I am sorry if the worry doesn't go away as quickly as we all would like." I looked at everyone with a stern look, "If he feels this much worry and anxiety, he won't be able to focus on training us all properly. So please let's all just calm down a bit, I know its hard, but for right now we are safe." Everyone looked down to try and calm a bit, I nodded to David to continue. "We will start some of the training after this meeting to figure out what abilities you and your wolf hold but Knight seems to think they are, a mix of yours and Sebastians as the three of us will be the main contributors to the fight he thinks you hold the combination of all." Barrett tensed and growled at that "I know you dont want to hear that Barrett but it is true, once people find out she is awakend they will know of myself and Sebastian as its been told that the three will come back to right the wrong doings. We will protect her with our lives, but this time Knight is determined to win and we will win." I felt Selena perk up and rise to the surface as David's eyes glowed a silver color and Sebastian's yellow gold. Everyone was staring. "I am honored to have you both back by my side once again. This time we will all grow old together and live out our lives in peace. Our pack" Selena's voice said through me as a mix of both hers and mine, as she looked around the room, "has grown to be that of the strongest. I am honored to call you all my family." All the wolves were brought forward as they all bowed "We stand with you Selena." Just as quickly as they came, they left.

"Okay, that was weird" Chloe gasped out. David chuckled "One of Selena's powers is to speak to the wolves directly, no matter who they are, she can command them forward, and also speak to them through a link." Holden stood up this time "wait like a mind link but only her and say my wolf?" David nodded. "I also believe she can command the wolves to do as she tells them, command the elements, along with being faster and stronger than most alpha wolves." I looked to Sebastian "what can you do?" He chucked "I'm just extra fast and strong, and for some strange reason I can predict what most wolves are planning to do during an attack before they do it, I always win." I heard Anthony laugh "I cant wait to get to test that theory out" he said while grinning and rubbing his hands together. "We will all test these out later. First I want to have Adaline shift again. I want to see Selena in a one on one to see how she does. I want to be the one with her as I know Knight won't hurt her, but I also know to try hard to see what she can do." Barrett tensed up again "No absolutely not if anyone does it myself or Heather." I grabbed his hands "Barrett listen, I know you want to protect me but you have to trust David and Knight they know what they are doing you and Heather don't, no offense." He stormed off out of the room, Bennett stood up to follow him "you all go get started, Ill talk to him," he said with a small smile to me.

As bad as I felt for not following him, I know I need to start training now. We dont know when the news will get out, so the faster I started, the faster I can become good at protecting my family. "Our family." I chuckled, "Yes, Selena our family." I was behind a tree, "Okay how bad will it hurt this time?" I was, nervous since well its my second time shiftig "It shouldnt hurt too bad as it gets easier everyime." She was right before I knew it with some uncomortability I was standing on all fours looking out through Selenas eyes. We stepped out onto the training field. There was definitely a crowd now. Knight was in the circle waiting. Sebeastian next to him he started to speak "okay Ad, you have to give over control to Selena, let her fight, but keep watch to help her out, make sure you have her 6." Selena rolled her eyes at him and he laughed "sorry, it's habbit. Now you will go until one taps, let her abilities come out to win. Ready?" He looked between us, we both nodded. I felt Selena get all giddy. She was ready to show him what she could do. "Okay GO!"

Knight didn't waste any time. He came at me with everything he could, trying to tackle and bit. I avoided him a few times but he got a few good kicks in. It pissed Selena off. She got into an attack stance, teeth bared, watching Kights every move. She waited until he circled to our right for our hind legs and she spun and pounced on his back. Next thing I knew, she flicked her head to the right a bit and a large boulder came rolling towards us. "Selena get out of the way!" I yelled at her. She didnt move though, it moved behind us rolling onto Knights tail and left leg. He howled in pain. She got off and trotted in front of her. He used some ungodly strength and kicked it off, limping slightly but not as bad as he should have been. He shook his fur out then came bareling at us. Selena bared her teeth, lowered her head slightly and growled at him really low. I heard her yell "SUBMIT" through the link at him. He tried to shake it off but he lowered himself down on the ground and Selena had his neck in her mouth, enough force to stop him from moving but not kill him.

"Wow, that was amazing." We looked at Barrett. He looked at us proudly. He walked to us and rubbed our ears, "I am sorry, I just couldn't handle if you got hurt and I didnt want to watch you get hurt because if you did theres no telling what Shaw would have done." Selena was purring and wagging like crazy. She rubbed up against him to get her scent all over him and licked his face. She gave a playful and lustful growl at him. Barrett shifted right there, "Okay everyone, I guess this portion of training is done, we will meet up for non-wolf training after dinner", Sebastian said. Everyone laughed and walked towards the house. "You did great Adaline, Knight is shocked you got him to bow. That hasn't happened before." David said, smiling as he headed back towards the house. Shaw nipped at our tail, growled playfully, then ran off. I felt Selena get aroused and she was off after him, "Okay girl I am gonna hid away in there while you two have fun" I giggled to her as I pulled into the back of our minds, giving them the much needed privacy they have been waiting for as they ran and mated.
