Climbing the mountain was a perilous adventure. I was not dressed right for this at all. The simple cotton dress I wore was quickly getting dirty as moss stains smeared the pastel yellow of my skirts green. My shoes were too flat, not having enough ridges to create a proper grip for my feet to stick to the steep mountain. This led to multiple close calls of me almost losing my footing.
