Chapter Three They met that evening in a pub on the outskirts of town, hoping that it’d be quieter than those in the center and they could hole up in a corner and talk privately. Their plan started off successfully as they got drinks and seated themselves well away from the other patrons—something which was easily done since most were taking advantage of the nice summer evening by sitting in the beer garden. Normally Anneke would have suggested doing the same, but voices carried more clearly outside. “Right,” Caleb said, “now would you please tell me what you have in mind for the full moon? I don’t want to risk hurting anyone.” Just as Anneke opened her mouth to respond, a group of men rounded the corner and entered their little section of the pub. Bloody hell! Why can’t they bugger off
