19 Both of the women from my immediate family had expectant looks on their faces. I froze in the doorway, unable to take another step forward. Seth and Abby flanked my sides, evidently prepared to stand by me no matter what was about to happen. Macy saw my hesitation and quickly slid out of the booth to run over and greet me with a hug.
