"Well?"  Raoul demanded. King Stephan sighed and said,  "We needed to talk to Jamie and we knew you would not let us. So Dion and I came here. I got Dion to cast a hunger spell on her so she would come down into the kitchen." Raoul glared at Dion and growled, "Why would you need to do that?" "To be fair, he was against it, but I needed to know where her allegiances were, especially when the King of Rogues had specifically requested to meet with her. It raises questions that I needed an answer to!" King Stephan explained. "Are you suggesting my mate is a traitor?" growled Raoul. "Oh, stop it, Raoul!" King Stephan was snapped."You know, I did not mean that. Stop thinking with your d**k for a second, will you? I needed to check for the safety of the realm. We then find out she is on first-name terms with the Elemental God! Then when Dion asked her about any Gods she met, she had a melt down. " "I am so sorry, I just didn’t want you to want me to leave!" She said weakly. Raoul hugged her tightly and kissed her. "Kitten, why in sweet chaos would I want that? You are the very reason my heart beats!" Raoul replied softly.  "Because I am a freak and a foundling, Raoul! When you first met me, I slept over at a stable. Don’t you see your mother is right? I am a burden. Even Blackthorn knows I am abnormal. I should have rejected you, but I was selfish.May the Goddess forgive me! " Jamie sobbed. "f**k!" Blackthorn He whimpered. The thought of hurting his mate was an agony. "Tell her we love and adore her, and that we can’t live without her!" Blackthorne mindlinked. "My love, we can not exist without you. It would have destroyed us if you had rejected us." Raoul stated truthfully. "You did not see him when you left Jamie. We did not even know at one point if the magical barrier would hold. That was before you were mated!" King Stephan interjected. "Plus, you are not a freak or a burden. You are amazing!" Dion said. "Really?" Jamie sniffed. "Yes!" They all said it in unison. "But, I don’t have any money, power, or connections!" Jamie argued. "Money can always be made, and it is not like Raoul is poor! Without his immensepersonal fortune, he would still be the leader of the richest pack in the realm! As for power and connections, Kitten, you speak to the elements and animals. You can make plants grow just by looking at them. You saved my life and protected my guests. I am constantly being badgered about you visiting our allies to train their Elemental Guards!" King Stephan explained. "Jamie, it is well known that the Wolf Moon pack has been blessed with an incredibly powerful Luna. In fact, you are, by far, the most powerful Luna in the realm. Raoul has been inundated with requests for visits in order for other packs to strengthen ties. He just ignored them until you completed the mating bond, because he was worried some other Alpha would steal you away! " Dion said. "Is that really true?" Jamie asked Raoul. Raoul stroked her hair and kissed her forehead. "Do you blame me, kitten? You ran away from me once. I know it was my fault, but I did not know where you were. I can not and will not risk losing you again." Raoul, said Raoul. Jamie sat up and looked at the King and Dion. "I met two Goddesses: the Moon Godess and the Crone. The Moon Goddess warned me that a move would be made against you at the summer ball. The Crone Goddess just turns up and is annoying.  She seems to like hitting me with her stick and saying I have to join the Elemental Guards to help in the upcoming war." Jamie expalined, remembering the bumps on her head. "You have talked to two high Goddesses?" Dion said. Jamie nodded. "Who told you about Chaos and Thule?" Jamie frowned, unsure how to answer. "You can trust them, Kitten!" Raoul said encouragingly. "It is not that, it was... I don’t know if it was real or not. I don’t want to sound silly." Jamie replied. "We promise we won’t think you are silly!" Dion said encouragingly. "Well, I awoke up near the starlight barrier with Amaethon. I was taken to a camp and met four generals who were fighting back the forces of Chaos. One of them said that the Chaos Empress had been quiet because she had been concentrating on our realm. He said that if the forces of Chaos get stronger around her, it will mean she will get stronger there. That the Empress had been waiting a long time to tip the scales and get an advantage. " Jamie said. "You said four generals, at the starlight barrier?" Dion asked. "Yes." Jamie replied. "What is Dion?" King Stephan asked if he knew that look. "Nothing to my King," Dion said, lost in thought. King Stephan knew that meant Dion would tell him later.  "What about your animal companions?" King Stephan asked. "Direct descendants of the animal Gods," Jamie said simply. "OK, and what is this about the Moon Goddess Bond?" King Stephan inquired. "I can help with that! Sometimes the bond between mating werewolves is so strong that couples share their minds and hearts. They can mindlink and feel each other’s emotions. There are also reports of sharing powers and even the magnification of healing powers if one of them is hurt. Steph, it is extremely rare." Dion explained enthusiastically. "How rare is rare?" Stephan asked. "Only five werewolves have ever been recorded," confirmed Dion. "How can we be sure they got it?" Stephan asks "Well, Raoul just ordered agitated raw elemental powers to depart. Since Raoul struggles to light a candle normally, I would say that was a pretty good indicator. Am I right?" Dion said "Yes, my Mate and I have been blessed with the Goddess Bond." Raoul said, smiling. "I am happy for you, Raoul, I really am! No one deserves it more, and she is an incredible Mate, so make sure you look after her. " King Stephan said. "I will, don't  worry about that!" Raoul said. "I am glad to hear that. Right now, I am entrusting you with two tasks. The first one is to visit the King of Rogues tomorrow. You know how important it is to get him on our side!" King Stephan commended them. Raoul growled, "I will go with her!" "Of course! The second is, you are to join the Elemental Guard on Monday, "King Steph instructed. Jamie nodded.  "Thank you for trusting us." Dion said. "Yes, thank you." King Stephan agreed, "And I apologise for what has occurred and any distress caused." Raoul rolled his eyes and grumped, "Now, if you don’t mind, I am going back to bed with my amate. She is exhausted!" "Yes, of course, you both need your rest. One more thing, Raoul... " King Stephan casually mentioned it. "Yes, I will return to service on Monday, Steph." Raoul said.  "Thanks Rao," said the King and gave a wink before leaving with Dion. "Well, that was interesting," Jamie said. "Hmmm Kitten, you need to start believing in yourself more and, for the love of chaos, can you please say you forgive Blackthorn? He is beside himself. "Blackthorn, it is OK, there is nothing to forgive," she mindlinked. "You are not a freak, you are perfect. We can not live without you!" whimpered Blackthorn. "I can not live without you both either," Jamie assured him. "Come on, let’s get some sleep," Roaul said.
