Love in Close Quarter

Introduction

Upon returning home from work, I found most of the others already gathered at the house. Some were upstairs, where there happened to be a living room for us to hang out in, while the rest were downstairs in the kitchen. I walked to the kitchen, where two men were cooking food with two other women. I walked up to them, and as I did, my steps stopped. I saw the woman hugging the man from back. I was a little surprised by what I had just seen, but I also realized that no one in this place was in a relationship. Yet. The woman and the man were free to make any kind of approach in a public space, in this house. I greeted them briefly and realized that they were preparing an evening snack for the gathering tonight.

Yoong-Jae, one of the friendliest men in this house, greeted me and invited me to join them. I agreed, asking permission to leave my belongings in my room for a moment.

I sat down between Bora and Yoong-Jae. Not long after, some of the people downstairs joined us. After having a little chitchat with them, I felt hungry, so I decided to walk downstairs to look for food in the kitchen. I hoped there were some snacks left.

"Haven't you eaten yet?" asked a tall man.

"Yes.." I replied in passing, and looked for food in every cabinet.

"Sit down, or you can go back upstairs while your food is being made," he replied in his usual nonchalant tone.

I'm a bit amazed with his voluntary action, but I don't have much argumentation because my stomach also asked for food. Remembering that I am the only introverted woman in this house, I chose to stay at the dining table while waiting for my food to be made. Before he started cooking, he checked all the home appliances in the house. I turned my attention back to the man who was making my food. He was a thin, tall man with tanned skin and long hair that reached his eyes

"This is your food, eat it"

"Oh" I replied, surprised by the full meal he served me "Thank you".

He tried to push in a chair across from my table and was about to turn away before I cut him off,

"Are you not going to join me for dinner?" I asked him.

"Do you want company?"

A silly question I thought, but I nodded to answer it, and then he pulled back the chair he had tried to push in earlier.

"This is good..." I said.

"Is it?" he replied, pushing his bangs back. His answers were always short, clear, and sometimes unhelpful.

"Oh really?" Sera, the woman who had been downstairs since I came home, moved closer to me and gestured as if she wanted to try my food, without saying much, I let her sip the noodles.

With a smile, Sera gave a thumbs up to the indifferent man.

As usual, the indifferent man just smiled and lowered his head. Cold again. Sera went around the house again, not sure what she was doing, so I was left alone with the man.**

"What time are you going to work tomorrow?" he asked.

"Maybe 9 o'clock"

"We can go together"

"Alright" I didn't refuse the man's offer, which saved me the energy of walking or driving to work by myself.

After I finished my food, we went back upstairs to join the others. For the first time in 2 days, we received a "letter".

Letters: "Please introduce yourselves, your age and occupation."

The letter was instructions or tasks given to us by the organizers, of course to make us closer to each other. Hopefully so.

We are 10 people with different backgrounds, consisting of 5 men and 5 women gathered in one house to get to know each other within a month. Since there were no volunteers to introduce themselves, I was chosen to introduce myself first, because I was the last one to come home today. 'There is one more person who hasn't come home yet, if I had known I would have stayed home later' I thought.

"I'm 29 years old, I'm a market (research) analyst" I said. My name is Rael, approaching my 30th birthday next year, I chose to join this unique program, which forced me to face 9 people with very different characters.

"Wow'' Sera responded

"I'm 31 years old, and I'm a financial analyst," Yoong-Jae explained. I didn't expect the person next to me to have a similar job to mine. Yoong-Jae is one of the two men in this house who often wear glasses. Yoong-Jae has a good and fit body, for women who like athletic men, he would be on their list.

"I'm 33 years old, I'm a barista and café owner," explained a tall man who made me dinner earlier, Yohan.

"I'm 34 years old, I'm a doctor," said Kang-Min, the most quiet man in this house. He is friendly and warm, but he speaks very little, he only speaks when you ask him. However, if you ask him something he knows about, he will explain it in great detail and clarity. He is the second man I have seen wearing glasses a few times.

"I'm 30 years old, I'm a gym instructor..." Hae-il has a big and tall body, which shows his interest in sports. Although both of them have athletic and tall bodies, Hae-il's body looks bigger and fuller than Yoong-Jae's.

"I'm 29 years old, my job is a make-up artist..." If I were to describe my 2 days in this house, Yuri is the most indifferent woman in this house. She is like a very independent woman, she doesn't care much about the opinions of others, and she is also very brave to express her opinions clearly. In terms of face, Yuri is very beautiful with long flowing hair, plus she is an MUA makes her appearance very charming.

"Do you do artist makeup?" asked Sera.

"No, usually I do makeup for brides..." Yuri replied, followed by Sera's nod.

"I'm 27 years old, I'm a training consultant," said Sera. Sera, the owner of a petite body, the smallest in this house. She has beautiful round eyes like puppies, if I were to describe her as Park Bo-Yong, beautiful with her cuteness..

"Your job is very cool, and it suits you..." Yoong-Jae responded with a thumbs up.

"I'm 27 years old, I'm an influencer." Hana explained. Hana has an aura of elegance that radiates from her face and behavior. Because of her work as an influencer, she is able to speak very well, which amazes people.

"We can already guess your job," Hana explained, referring to Bora.

"I'm 25 years old, I'm a model..." Bora said. Bora is a woman full of energy. She can't be described as a boyish but she will be willing to do activities that require a lot of energy. Her voice is very loud and strong, at the same time she will give a cheerful atmosphere to anyone she meets.

We, people over 25 years old who are trying to find our soulmate through this event.
