The shame.
The papers are full of whispers about Rose Amber. They say she's involved with a notorious gangster. They are also in every alley. Scandalous and spread with sensation. The headlines in bold letters indicating 'secret meetings in the shady corners.' A picture of 'f*******n love in danger and intrigue.'' The media can turn nothing to something.
Regardless of the powerful family Rose Amber has faced tragic death. What is the meaning and worth of reputation? Why do people get so offended when it comes to someone's reputation? Society judge without bias. The rumors have power. Unimaginable power over a girl. Every time focused by someone. A guy might not be a focus of gossips but a lady, oh my, they are always pinned with some rumors. Sometime rumors ruin people. They ruined Rose Amber's reputation. Accusers accused her of having an affair with a man, taking drugs, and bullying. She was also accused of lacking education, etiquette, and noble behavior. That was it before. Few can see how everyone tossed and turned Rose with blames and no mercy. Yet she still roamed around them like a fool. She is a fool. Always been a fool. And now that person was in the past. She no longer exists in this world.
She didn't fall apart all at once-it crumbled grain by grain. The girl so beautiful was ruined.
Orlena is a beautiful city in the East. Rose Amber used to be the most popular upper-class person since birth. News of her death has now erupted. The scene of her cousin Boyle crying spread all over the media. Her delicate features expressed clear agony. It left all the media sympathizing with her.
It didn't feel like mourning-it felt like coronation. Death became someone else's rise.
The media were crawling like worms outside. They want fresh piece of meat. Inquiring about how and when she died. Most of them were sure that she died unable to manage her face. The world's idea of truth, which it imagines to be true, frames a different personality of someone they never met or had any contact. No one clearly knows what is right and what is wrong, but they don't care about this. If they could find news about any person that grabs netizens' attention, then it's fine by them. They are carving headlines from a corpse. Like vultures.
Rose's parents appear at the airport with desperation on their faces. They seemed worried. Those who noticed them instantly click pics and uploaded grabbing attention from the media and public. Every piece of news related to Rose is now a hot topic. If her parents were not present the media would have questioned them later. For a long time, reporters crowded the gates of Amber Villa and didn't move even an inch. They were trying their best to find something to report. The cameras ready to shoot everything.
Although the outside is very chaotic, the inside of the mansion is calm. Amber's mansion is large and full of expensive crystal furnishings. The entire hall stands empty though, with not a single person casting a shadow. Yet, in the middle if anyone squinted their gaze a little, they could see a person on the floor. Rose Amber. She is still alive. She is breathing, the movement of her shoulders indicated so. The lady whose news of death spread like fire all over the world is still alive. She is unconscious. Her skin pale and she looked sick. For a moment no movement occurred, and everything was still in the hall. A while later a sound of footsteps from the stairs resonated and they surrounded Rose.
They began to scan her for a while but soon became anxious, the middle-aged lady asked, "What happened? Shouldn't she be awake by now? Don't tell me you people overdose on her by accident and she is already dead."
"How can it be? I didn't overdose her." the young lady glanced at the body and scorned, "She was already very weak and at the brink of death. Even a little higher amount could kill her. So, I don't know if she is dead or not."
Her reply was nonchalant. She doesn't seem like the same person who in front of the media cried like a mad person. She scrolled through her phone with amusement.
A middle-aged man added touching his short beards, "I don't care even if she is dead. She has no use for me. I thought she must have the papers with her, but to think she rejected Leo in the past..." He sighed and added with anger, "I can't believe that till now I was pouring my efforts in vain." Saying this his gaze turned solemn. He crossed his arms tapping his foot.
"One or two slaps will do." A young man smiled and said, as he stepped ahead and slapped Rose a few times to make her conscious. He stood there with his chin high like looking down at worms. Then with the kerchief he cleaned his hands. Feeling repulsive.
A slap echoed through the empty hall. Her head snapped sideway from the force, golden hair scattering over her shoulder. Just silence. Her eyes blinked, not in reaction, but confusion.
Describing something beautiful is always impossible. No amount of praise can compare to it. The person appeared too dreamy for time to touch. She has a fair complexion, clear blue eyes, and golden hair. As if some kind of untouchable beauty. She appeared too gorgeous. Her beautiful curves show the figure of seductiveness. One cannot help but glance at her a few more times to gain a clear understanding of her features. Confusion surrounded her face.
Rose tried to stand up but collapsed with a thump. She kept falling due to dizziness. A while later she finally gave up trying and decided to observe her surroundings instead. She didn't talk the entire time. Her hands reached out searching for something to lean on but there is nothing around her. As if in confusion she tilted her head.
Rose felt frustrated. Her white slim hands clenched hard. Realizing that someone had drugged her made her shudder. This is not her first time facing this situation. The aftermath of d**g is still brutal. The chill of the floor soaked into her skin, but Rose couldn't tell if it was real or imagined. Her limbs were numb-not with pain, but with something stranger. Every breath felt too deep, too loud. Her hands trembled and the corner of the room twisted like a mirage. She can't see anything. Even opening her eyes feels too much.
While she was still in the labyrinth of confusion someone spoke.
One of the people, a lady surrounding her said with frustration. "Rose you have shamed us. I cannot count how many times I've told you not to blame others for everything you do."
She narrowed her eyes. The ironic expression smeared, "You always do whatever you want. You are not a child anymore! Rose, you should admit what you did was wrong. Don't act as if someone wronged you."
Rose processed her every word again. She felt her heart turn cold as she realized that she is actually surrounded by people. She cannot decipher anyone's appearance though.
A man screamed at her, ''Rose!'' He began, "Today you unwittingly overwhelmed yourself with an overdose, leading to fainting. No one can d**g someone who is already addicted." He paused and added, "Your cousin did a good act by rescuing you, yet you seem to overlook this kindness. You should thank her first."
She felt weird. Everything their looks, words and behaviors. They appeared like a dream. Rose stabled her mind and tried to observe her surrounding carefully before turning to look at the four people again. She is not able to recognize any of them.
Who are they? They are very loud and it hurts her eardrums. Where is this place?
