Chapter 2: Don't you find me trustworthy?

Many questions flooded in his mind and only arjun can give an answer. Arjun came from the school and noticed the confused face of ashwath sensed he might have found the video so started to explain everything from the very beginning as he didn't plan to hide anything.

Flashback: Arjun's father married his mother without their parents consent so they are angry because of this. His parents ran away from their native place to live a peaceful life. His grandfather (father's dad) didn't approve of their love marriage and was not satisfied with the career path of his son. Only his grandmother (mother's mom) barely visited the couple after their marriage but she passed away when he was little. So he doesn't know much about her and their relatives. His mother is busy with work and spends her free time with him. Most of the time he will be with his father and watch what he is doing so his father teaches him about programming, networking and servers but he was shocked by the talent of his son and praised him for his quick learning skills and also advised him not to use his learnings for evil deeds. Everything went smoothly till a day arrived when a man came to their house to threaten his father for acquiring some information He didn't know what that was. From that day his father warns him to be safe and become overprotective. The night before the accident his mother suffered from fever so she took the day off and that morning his father sent him to school and stayed back at home to take care of his mother. Coincidentally, a fire accident happened when they both were at home and arjun suspected it to be murder. So as the days passed he thought of checking the CCTV footage so he hacked the ip address and viewed all videos of that incident sensed something amiss.

Present day...

Arjun, why didn't you share this with me? I would have helped you in the way I can. Or Don't you find me trustworthy? I know I'm… before he could complete the sentence arjun spoke in a piping voice "No… it's not like you think. I thought to confirm my suspicion". Ashwath calmed and continued to ask " So what are your findings? Is this really a murder? ". Arjun nodded and said "I can't find the culprits from the footage but I'm sure it's not an accident". Ashwath gave some thought and said "Let me check with you". Both of them noted even minute details from the video and found something strange with a person who closely watched the house. So they went on to check the previous footage and saw the same person. Ashwath felt like he had seen him somewhere but can't remember when. He was distracted when arjun said "I think this person has something to do with the accident. Maybe he is the one who threatened my father".

"Ok let's find who's behind this…What is his motive?" ashwath assured. They got back to their work.

Two days passed ashwath went for a food delivery subconsciously his mind went to the person he saw on the footage. On his way he saw a fight between some men and a car owner. That gang started the fight with the car owner who asked for compensation where the accident was caused due to a bike race in one way. This incident sought the attention of many including ashwath whose eyes pinpointed a similar face at the gang. "Yah it's him… I need to catch him to know what he was doing there and find out who is responsible for that accident" ashwath reminded. Not long after, he caught that man and started to investigate but he replied indifferently. It raised ashwath's anger so he punched the man in the stomach. The man refused to tell the truth and even tried to kill himself. Ashwath prevented it before that could happen. The fury in his eyes raised followed by two punches, the man screamed out of pain "I can't say anything to you, if so they will kill me". "That's your future…now you just consider your present if you refuse to tell the truth… I'll make you pain as terrible as hell…do you want me to do that" Ashwath spoke coldly and started to break the bone in his finger. The man couldn't tolerate the pain so he explained everything. "I…I'm a mercenary. One day a call came from an unknown number, they deposited money in my account and instructed me to threaten a man to work according to their plan. The motive is to deactivate the virus defence patch in systems of the police department. That man refused and even tried to expose this. I was assigned to make him work according to their plan so I decided to create a fear of losing his family by causing a small accident but the plan was overridden and someone sabotaged me by creating a huge fire accident. I didn't murdered them. They aimed for the boy but we couldn't catch him instead you caught me". Ashwath asked "do you know anything about that unknown person who assigned the task" but the man shook his head unknowingly. He watched the man for a few seconds thinking of surrendering him to the police but he cleared his thoughts, took off the man's phone and other belongings went to his home. After reaching home he shared everything with arjun and helped him to check on belongings to find the culprits. They can't draw into a conclusion after discussing various angles. The unknown number is also switched off. Suddenly an idea sparked to ashwath's mind he told arjun to check on the transaction history of the mercenary men and track the account which deposited the amount. After a few minutes the efforts bore fruit and they found some clues about the stranger. They are from an underground mafia working against the country. Many questions were raised in their mind so they planned to visit arjun's burnt house to search for clues. They reached his house, which was almost burnt. Arjun went to open a secret locker where his father stores work related files. Many of the documents are half burnt and hard disks are destroyed. They went to the storeroom to check if there was any clue related to the situation, but didn't find any information.
