I exit the room and Dr. Laurel walks out with me to the waiting room. Fredo stands and walks towards us. I begin to say goodbye but am stopped by Dr. Laurel speaking first. “Go ahead and have a seat Anna. Fredo and I will not be long.” Her ever present smile on her face. Wait. Why is she talking to Fredo? I thought this was for me. She isn’t going to tell him about what I said is she?! “Don’t worry Anna, everything you said is confidential, as will be what he says,” she responds after he walks past her, as if she is reading my mind.
