THE PENTAGON.
CHAPTER ONE.
Dearly beloved, if you see this letter today, am about to do it again. Yes! Am going to take my life. As there is no much to it. I can't stand the lazy mornings, afternoons and evenings. And as such, I have had enough. Good bye!
He chuckled, as he wrote this out on a thin piece of paper, before getting his strung up character doll self on a tethered rope. He spooned the rope round the dolls neck. Well that is a well storied letter, as he nodded in sarcasm. She would be so mad, Whit spoke again, in conclusion.
I think he would get a time out for life, replied Mark.
This is a one too far, Peter! Ria said begrudgingly.
She gets us every Halloween! He replied carefully judging their bias. We will get her today, now guys! Pete ordered, while looking at the troubled doll.
I have got to get back at my sister, this Halloween. One prank too far Peter, said Whit again.
They released the doll, as it hung carelessly at the middle of the ceiling fan. Yes! They smiled together, we got her now.
No matter, Pete sister, Anna was the cause of the sibling rivalry, she always tried to cause them one too many a pain. Umpteen times, it had led to very severe consequences, like a dislocated shoulder joint, ruining his chance at soccer, loosing out of neighbourly girls love.
But as she would say, what does his shoulder got to do with it, he never even had a chance to start with.
It's high time she took some, he thought to himself. Her eccentric character was beginning to take a huge blow on them.
And all thought it, wise to pay her back the same attitude melted out on them.
Run! here she comes, Noah screamed, Noah Fisher.
Mr Fisher's son, he was the third child of his parents, with a inhaler in hand, he was asthmatic. He had been on the lookout, the whole time.
Woah! He looked in astonishment, that doll looks exactly like you, Pete. I know my brother bakes, the best clay in town. I mean it's a lot easier that Peter is black.
Oh brother! Whit sighs! That's racist.
Who cares sneers, Ria. Peter is a jolly fellow, Ria feelings were beginning to be on a reel.
In Mrs Georgia eyes, he could do no wrong, they wink back at Peter, as they laugh menacingly.
Look Peter, by the end of the year, she might ask you out. Ew! Ria says.
Am not about to be a Gigolo, plus have you seen her husband, says Peter.
She only talks about Mr Park, but heaven knows, no one has seen the guy, but somehow she is married and with no kids. Always winking at me and stuff.
Ria never trusted Mrs Georgia's character and who could blame her this days.
Peter could have sworn , she was a naive mistress, whose husband had eluded with another woman while she waited it out, hoping for his return, but the following events, bagged the cake.
Mrs Georgia was a liar.
Her making passes at him, was irksome to say the least and was not helping matter.
Anna, Peters sister stormed in to house, with her dark shade uniform and a bit of pecs, mimicking the odd twins of druke.
A story told to kids, to make them compliant. Her gaze went straight to the doll. She collapses in shock, gets up again, glares at the horror. Peter, she cried out. She runs to the figure, she calls out again, Peter. As she draws near, she gives a quirky smirk, it's just a stupid doll!
Yikes! she mutters quietly, to herself.
Peter she screams, she had bit a huge one. They were not about to let her live this one down.
She quickly took the paper on the counter and read, the ill- composed letter, which made her more angry now.
Oh s**t! Peter! Where are you? She thundered!!
Her eyes skimmed through the house, looking for her prey of target, Peter.
Her eyes still soaked with tears from her early misconception.
It's not funny Peter, she yells.
Anna following the sound of the heavy breathing, coming from the east side of the house, Noah's direction, she drags the heavy cotton covering Whit and Noah in hiding.
Great Noah! You led her straight right to us, Whit said with a little ire in his voice. Come on! she said as she drags Pete's hand.
Very amateurish, Kids. Next time use fake gory blood.
And where are we supposed to get blood from? Asked Ria. You would figure that on your own, she replied, with a undaunted chagrin.
You know your sister is weird right, Mark whispered in a hushed tone to Peter, who was looking bewildered by her wild eyed request.
Weirder than you would expect, Mark, Peter replied.
They scampered into the living room, hitting the doll along, It flanged to the left and right.
As they pursued each other, they all laughed together in youthful glee. They had been friends since middle school.
And had formed a triad, compromising of Peter, Whitney and Mark. Not until, Ria and Noah entered their friend group, they named it the Pentagon.
Now they were in their late teenage years, the year of legality.
In college. They had sworn their friendship eternal. Mark almost got out of their friend group, as he was to study micro engineering at Queens, he was popularly known as the book worm, home buddy, shy type of guy.
His introverted nature led to him being the apple of the eye, to bullies in middle school. Whitmore had been arrogant in his defense, more than once or twice, while Peter supported him through and through.
Or how could he ever have survive high school.
Mark Schooler. The prodigy of their set, and valedictorian, 2018.
Whitmore always teased, if his ancestors where responsible for the invention of exams and test, or school itself. Hence the name Schooler. Only Whit found his surname, funny.
Whitmore on the other hand, hated school life.
His( Whit) school life was meowing compared to his social life, which took up a loud roar. He was the jock, the soccer star and most importantly as he would claim, the ladies man.
Candy for all women, was his slogan, which Peter found irritating. He character was known to be insufferable on bad days and fiercely loyal on good days.
All in All, he was a good friend, when one did overlook, his egoistic side.
