“Emma get your butt up and let’s get breakfast going alpha isn’t going to be happy to see that your still in bed.” “Josh I’m sorry I’m getting up, I’m just so tired I haven’t eaten in a few days.” “Emma I know I try to sneak you food when I can alpha Mason almost caught me that last time I’ll try to get you something.” I got up and got dressed ready to start my long day. My room is in the basement alpha mason says I’m not worthy enough to sleep with the rest of the pack. The basement is dark and cold and stinks but it’s my escape from everyone else. Josh is my one and only friend he is one of the only things that keep me going. He hear crap all the time about why he’s so nice to me that I am beneath him, that’s never stopped him he still try’s his best to take care of me. He is the older brother I always wanted. I used to sit up praying to the moon goddess that my parents are out there and looking for me that they would come find me and take me home, but since I’ve been here since I was 5 till now I don’t see that happening. I am about to be 18 in a couple days and I can’t wait, it’s the day that I am free to leave this hell. I started being a slave about the age of 10, I was made to cook, clean. My guardians angel and Michael died in one of the many rogue attacks and I was left in the care of alpha masons mom and dad. Angel and Michael where okay guardians they told me I wasn’t there daughter but they never mistreated me, I was very greatful to have had them. When I would ask them what happened to my parents they said they didn’t know that alpha masons dad brought me to them and told them to take care of me that if anything happened that I am to go back to him. Mitch was the alpha till he passed it to his son mason. His Luna carol hated me well so did Mitch I couldn’t ever figure out why so I stayed away from them. I remember the day I first shifted into my wolf Elena, josh was there to help me though it, it made shifting easier. Elena and Conrad joshes wolf played in the forest while everyone else was asleep it felt so nice to be care free even for a couple hours. I was 15 when I felt my wolf and shifted. I don’t get to let Elena out much anymore because Mason keeps me so busy. We are ready though ready to break free. “Earth to Emma… Emma!” “Sorry josh I was day dreaming I’m dressed.” Now it’s time to start my day. Just a couple more I can do this right? I get to the kitchen and start breakfast thank Goddess no one is up and about yet. I was almost finished getting the sausage, eggs, bacon, toast, biscuits, gravy, hash browns, cooked I went ahead and started putting the fresh fruits out on the table, I just about had the table set and ready when everyone started coming in. Some would sit and eat others would make food and go on with their day. Usually the only ones that sat and ate at the table was the higher ranked wolves. There was alpha mason and his Luna Rachel his beta Blake his mate Julie and his gamma Neal his mate cara. “Emma serve us now” “no mason I don’t know why I must cook clean and serve you all also.” Smack! I was knocked to the ground by beta Blake smack to my face and the strength he put behind it he starts kicking me and hitting me non stop till I am crying and begging him to stop. He stops long enough to yell at me for disrespecting our alpha then spits on me. He picks me up and then makes me serve them… once I am finished I am made to stand and watch every one else eat my punishment included me going without food for a couple more days. Once they were finished I cleared the table and done the dishes and cleaned the kitchen. I ran to my room and cried myself to sleep. Josh woke me up with a plate of food in his hand and a first aid kit and ice pack I ate in a hurry and he cleaned me up. I know I am defying my punishment but I’ve already went a few days without food. I went to the kitchen to start lunch, the rest of my day went a little more smoothly except a few name calling here and there from some of the pack members other than that no one physically hurt me. After dinner I cleaned up and went to my room to sleep I was exhausted.
