Autumn
Autumn was born on a blue moon, found by her adoptive parents Gill and Philip on there farm house door step, in the middle of the Scottish highlands, wrapped in the most beautiful silk blue blanket that smelt of fire and a warm breeze. Gill and Philip tell Autumn's story on her birthday every year, to anyone that will listen. Autumn's parents swear blind she was a gift from the moon herself. On the early Autumn night that Autumn was found on her parents doorstep, Gill distinctly remembers seeing two wolves in the distance howling at the moon. Phil puts this down to the fact that Gill had probably consumed one to may glasses of Rioja and was three sheets in the wind.
Autumn always smiles fondly when her parents tell the story, but can't help but wonder whether her mum really did see two wolves in the distance howling at the moon. You see for as long as Autumn could remember, she always had a sense of not belonging, or being the girl that was different from the rest. Autumn was tall for a woman standing at 6ft, with icy blonde hair and blue eyes that become a deeper shade of blue in the summer and almost turn to ice blue in the winter months. Her sporting abilities are something to be admired, at school Autumn was on every sporting team, frequently winning gold medals and trophies.
Autumn sighed deeply as she rolled over to turn her alarm off, just as she opened her eyes the sunrise caught her breath with the pretty colours that the sky had painted itself. Autumn had always been fascinated by sunsets and sunrises somehow feeling a connection to the beginning and ending of a day. Especially on a full moon, its as though her soul becomes alive and yearns for something that has not been found yet.
Today was Autumn's 21st birthday, she had a feeling that something great and life changing was going to happen! - little did she know that today was the day that her life would change forever, a journey and an awakening of a lifetime was about to take place.
