Chapter 9

Sebastian was in the car smiling and laughing to himself. “What in the world are you laughing at,” I asked him His only reply was you and then he kept laughing. I made sure to look myself over so that I knew if I was looking rough but nothing was out of place. “Excuse you,” I asked him “I am sorry I just can't believe you got a hit in on one of Jeffrey's guys and you shoved him down. You are a little firecracker. I am also laughing because you already fit in with the family.” He started my car and made sure the heat was on.  “I consider your mother really good friend plus who walks up to a table and starts out a conversation like that. Was he raised by wolves?” I laughed at my own joke and heard Sebastian laugh a little. “I want to thank you for defending my mom. It really does mean a lot to me and my family. I would like to thank you by buying you dinner.”  “Thanks for the offer but I am wore out. I need to get my snacks and meal items so I can get back to the cabin to watch a movie with a big bowl of popcorn and some chocolate.” I put my seat belt on as he pulled out onto the street. “We can do dinner to go. I have no plans tonight and would love to get to know you better.” He smiled nervously at me and it pulled at my heart strings a little. “Deal but I pick the movie and it will not be a scary movie. I am a wimp.” “Wimp? So you can stand up to scary men but can’t handle a fake scary movie? You’re a fruit cake but a cute one. “ He laughs and has me look up open restaurants so we can order our food while we shop. We end up taking a lot longer in the grocery store then expected plus we added some adults drinks to the cart. I haven’t drank anything in a minute so this will be nice. I just need to remember to go slow on it or I may bring back my college days. Sebastian wouldn't let me pay for my groceries or the dinner. I did let him know I was very capable to paying for myself but he wouldn't hear of it.  I may have argued but I did like being treated. My ex-husband always made me feel like it was always his money and he only paid for everything because he had to. If i had a job i would of paid for myself, daycare, and insurance for everything leaving me with no money so he still had control over everything to do with the house.  "Hey, why do you look so upset?" Sebastian had gotten back in the car with dinner and stared at me. "Oh my bad. I was just thinking about my ex-husband and how he never even made me feel anything less than a burden when he paid for something."
