"Hey Phoenix, come on, let's deal with this math assignment together," Dylan said from where she was seated. Phoenix was absent-minded, she didn't hear Dylan call her. She must have fallen into a trance again. " Hey!!! What's wrong with you? I have been talking to you for a while here but you gave no response," Dylan shouted. " We have to save her or else she might die" That was what came out of her mouth. "What!? Save who? Dylan was full of surprises because she hadn't seen Phoenix in such a way before. " The girl from school, she's on her way to meet her death, but we can still stop her if we hurry up to where she is right now," she said again. "I seriously don't understand what's wrong with you and I don't care to know, just clean up this mess and come over to the table. Let's tackle that math assignment together." Dylan said in anger and left her presence immediately. ……. " Hello Nanny, have you seen Phoenix?" Dylan asked just a few minutes after she had a little argument with her. "Phoenix? She was supposed to be with you," she said, sounding so sure of herself, and went further to look around for her. "I don't know what's wrong with her, she was sounding so weird and I left her all alone in her room, now I can't seem to find her anywhere," she said, sincerely hoping that Phoenix got back before her parents. "Oh no, this can't be happening, we have to find her right now before her mum gets home. The nanny panicked. As both of them were about to leave the house, they met Mrs. Cosgrove on the way and got talking with her concerning her daughter. "What!?" " We were just about finding her. I promise not to go back to the house without her," the nanny said with teary- eye "You better not!?" she shouted " Get the gates, I'm driving out." " Ma'am, please calm down, she will be back. Probably she's going through her episodes," she said unintentionally. "Episodes? What Episodes?" Dylan, who had been standing there for a while, asked. Just then, Mrs. Cosgrove tried to cover up what had been said. "Dylan dear, why don't you wait for your friend upstairs while I look for her? I believe it's nothing serious", she tried to convince her. "Alright," she said and went upstairs. …. It's late in the night and Phoenix is yet to return. Dylan had left already and the two women were waiting for her to return. " Oh thank goodness you are here," Mrs. Cosgrove said immediately after her husband entered the house. " What's the matter?" Mr. Cosgrove read the room immediately after he entered. "Phoenix left the house without informing anyone and is yet to return," she responded. "Let's exercise some patience, she will be here". He didn't seem to be worried about his daughter. He knew of her powers and no harm could come to her easily. He tried to get his wife to calm down but she still preferred to stay awake while she waited for her daughter. Just then, Phoenix walked in but didn't say a word to anyone. She walked straight to her room and banged the door. Mr. Cosgrove didn't acknowledge her presence, but Mrs. Cosgrove kept on pleading with her to open the door. She gave a deaf ear to all the pleadings and, in the end, Mrs. Cosgrove decided to allow her to rest. ….. "Hey, babe! Can you believe how lucky we are to have found each other in college?" Gabriel said, smiling down at Phoenix. " I know, right? It's like fate brought us together. I'm so grateful to have you by my side during these years." " Same here! Meeting you in college has made my experience so much better. I love how we can explore new things together and support each other in our academic and personal journeys." " Absolutely! It's like having a built-in best friend and cheerleader. We can study together, share our thoughts about classes and professors, and motivate each other to do our best." "And not to mention how much fun we have outside of the classrooms too. From late-night pizza runs to attending campus events and parties, everything feels much more exciting and memorable when we're together." " Totally! Those shared experiences are some of the highlights of my college life. I love creating memories with you and knowing that we'll have stories to tell even after we graduate." "That's something I look forward to as well. College can be such a transformative period, and I'm glad I get to navigate it with you. We get to learn and grow together, and that's a special bond." "Absolutely. We push each other to step out of our comfort zones, try new things, and become better versions of ourselves. It's nice to have someone who understands the pressures and challenges of college life and can relate to what we're going through." " True, it's comforting to know that we're in this together. We can lean on each other for emotional support, celebrate each other's victories, and be there for one another during tough times too." "Having that support system is crucial. College can sometimes feel overwhelming, but knowing that I have you by my side makes it all more manageable. I feel more confident and motivated knowing that someone believes in me" "Likewise! You inspire me every day and seeing your dedication and passion for your studies motivates me to work harder too. We continuously push each other to strive for excellence, and it's amazing." "Aw, thank you! I feel the same way about you. Our love and support for each other extend beyond our academics, and that's what makes our college relationship so special." "For sure. I'm grateful for our connection and the love we share. College is an incredible time in our lives, and knowing that we have each other through all the ups and downs makes it even more special." "Babe, I couldn't agree more. Let's make the most of our college years while cherishing the love and bond that we've built. These moments will be something we'll always look back on with fondness." " I love you so much…" The door banged and interrupted her dreams. " Who is there? "She shouted out in annoyance. " I just wanted to inform you that your breakfast is ready and you need to be leaving for school soon enough." the nanny said and excited the door. "Oh, Christ…it was all a dream" she signed.
