When Love Lasts

Jimmy Walterson is a farmer in the place of a vast farmland in the town of York, country of Albania, He is the only child of Larry and Rose Walterson. Jimmy during his school days shows no interest in his education that leads him to frequent absences and escapes in class. Cynthia Marquez his childhood friend and classmate always gets mad at him because of his actions. She often find Jimmy sleeping alone in the river and sometimes tending his flocks of sheeps and goats. Mr. Larry Walterson, the father of Jimmy often beats him and seize him to enter his classes. Ms Rose Walterson often talk to Cynthia to watch Jimmy and encourage him to be active in his classes but despite of their effort during his seventh grade Jimmy drop out all his classes and pleads to his parents to help them in their farm because he is no longer interested to go to school because he sees school as boring and can't get anything from it. He pleads them to allow him to stop to help them manage their vast farmland. Despite of encouragement, the parents of Jimmy accepted their son's decision and let him manage their farm including their flocks of animals. Cynthia always find some time to look for Jimmy after attending her classes to talk about her days in school. Jimmy is just listening to what Cynthia is saying and sometimes he is not paying attention to it. Cynthia shows a deep feelings for Jimmy but it seems Jimmy is not interested to her. During a winter celebration from their town. Cynthia received some flowers and gifts from her classmates and some attempted to court her but she shows no interest to them. Cynthia always talk about her feelings to Joan her best friend but Joan always advised her friend to forget Jimmy and stop entertaining him because it seems he is not interested to her. Days comes by and Cynthia needs to go away to take her college study in the university of melbourn, 60 miles from their town. Cynthia ask Jimmy that she will go away, and Jimmy wish her good luck and bids farewell to her. While Jimmy is in his farm, he is internalizing his plans in life since some of his childhood friends are in other places pursuing their dreams in their life. Its been a long time he is out of school and his parents is getting old and they are always encouraging him to enjoy his life apart from managing their farm. As he is sitting beside his farm, seeing the clouds move in the vast blue sky. He notice a beautiful woman grazing her sheeps in a fat green grass in a distance. She is also a farmer and she is new in their place. Jimmy approach her and ask, what do a beautiful woman doing in a place like this. The woman told Jimmy that she recently transferred in their place and she is currently working under the family of John Smith as a farmer. Jimmy ask the name of the beautiful woman and she told her that her name is Clara Solace. Clara is tall around 5'7 in height, slender, fair skin and has a long brunette hair. Jimmy is stunned in the complexion of Clara and he asked her why she needs to work as a farmer to John Smith's farm. Clara told Jimmy that her father died in an accident and her mother left her to marry someone. Since her mother left, there is no one to support her studies that is why he decided to work and she just find her path at John Smith's farm. From that time, Jimmy started to be friend Clara. The parents of Jimmy started to notice some energy coming from Jimmy specially when she starts to go to their farm early in the morning. Jimmy and Clara became closer to each other specially Clara is always open to her life and always share her life experiences to Jimmy. Jimmy discovered that when Clara's father died and her mother left for someone. Clara was in her relatives in the father's side during that time and she experienced abuse from them, sometimes she gets spank and beat up whenever she made some mistakes in her chores. Because of some physical abuses she experienced , she run away and she was referred by a friend to work to John Smith's Farm. Although the farm work is hard, she feels refreshed whenever she sees Jimmy. They became friends all along together with the flock of sheeps and cattle. Everyday they share some stories and ideas while working since Jimmy and their farm is near to each other. In the melbourn university, Cynthia is having some deep thoughts about his friend Jimmy and she is thinking what he is doing right now. Studying in the university takes time but this does not hinder her to write letter to Jimmy since mobile phone is not allowed in the school specially they are in the school dormitory. During first year of study in the university, Jimmy is able to reply to Cynthia's letter but as the days goes by she did not receive anything from Jimmy. Cynthia always thinks that Jimmy may be busy in managing their farm and nothing else. Cynthia ask their school director if she can go for a vacation for the next semester for the reason to see her family but in her mind she want to see Jimmy. As the days goes by Jimmy started to feel deep affection to Clara. He knows he is starting to fall in love with her. There are times he give a piece of red rose to Clara, he carefully pick the most beautiful and fresh one. Clara ask what it is for and Jimmy just say that this is for their friendship for each other as a friend. In one event during Clara's birthday since it is only Jimmy who knows the date of her birthday. Jimmy confesses her feelings to Clara that she likes her and wants her to be his girl friend. At first Clara refused because she said that she is poor and she is just only a simple farmer. Jimmy pleaded that she don't care, Jimmy stated that he fall in love with her because she is very kind and true to her self. Clara accepted the proposal of Jimmy since they are already friends for a long time and she trusted Jimmy very well. Jimmy started to asked Clara to come to their home to introduce to his parents, Clara is very shy for the first time facing Jimmy's parents because she knows she is just simple and had nothing to show off. Clara thinks that Jimmy's parent might get mad at her because maybe they don't want her for Jimmy because there are more woman that is more better for their son. In contrast, nothing of the Clara's thoughts happen because the parents of Jimmy like her. For the first time of their life, they where shock and happy that Jimmy would have a girlfriend who would like him. They thought that Jimmy would not get married or interested in a relationship but they are wrong. They are happy about Clara since they see her as a beautiful and a kindhearted woman. They asked Clara that she no longer need to work in John's Smith farm and live in their mansion but Clara refuse she still want to work. The parents of Jimmy can't do anything and accepted the decision of Clara but they promised to support her all along. Jimmy also insisted to help Clara in her studies since she want to finished her educations. At first, she refused but later on she accepted the offer of Jimmy. The day of Cynthia's vacation is at hand and she is excited to see Jimmy. In fact, she started to buy some dress for Jimmy's parents. Upon arrival she immediately went to the house of Jimmy and she found Jimmy's parent sitting in a bench welcoming her arrival. She notice Jimmy is not around, She asked her parents about Jimmy's whereabout. They responded that Jimmy is in the farm with Clara, "Who is Clara"?.. Cynthia responded..because Jimmy's parents is so slow to speak. Clara hurriedly run to the farm and tears fall from her eyes when Clara sees Jimmy laughing together with Clara. In the thought of Clara "This may mean it is her girl friend. Then Jimmy notice and approach her saying that she change a lot most specifically in her physical aspect because she became more taller and more attractive and she did not even notice her. Cynthia already wears a glass and braces that adds to her beauty. Despite of the things that change to Cynthia the status of Jimmy towards her did not change and consider her still as her long time friend. Jimmy asked her if there is something wrong because it seemed Cynthia cried. Cynthia just stated she just shed tears of joy seeing her home town to Jimmy even the truth is, she secretly cried because she was surprised that Jimmy had already have a girl friend. Jimmy excitedly introduced to her girl friend Clara happily approach Cynthia. At first, Clara feels very shy to Cynthia, in her mind Cynthia is raised in a respectfully family compared to her that she is nothing. As Clara talk to Cynthia, she realised that Cynthia is a good person and she feels very comfortable to her. Clara started to share her life to Cynthia. Cynthia started to sympathize to her experience. Cynthia praises Clara because of her beauty and kindness to Jimmy. Cynthia said to Clara that Jimmy is very lucky and bless to have her and comparing to her, she stated that Jimmy find something he appreciated to her that makes him wants her. Cynthia shared that Jimmy is her childhood crush but never likes her as she laughs. She said many things about Jimmy that he is very tardy in class before but hardworking when talking about managing their farm business. Clara is just listening and laughs for every story Cynthia shares about Jimmy. The conversation ended when the parents of Jimmy ask the three to have a snack. During that time, Clara felt joy to learn that Jimmy has a childhood friend and she is very kind. Everyday as Cynthia is visiting the house of Jimmy, she enjoys her friendship with Clara. Cynthia learn that Clara save money to continue her studies without the support of her parents. Cynthia was amazed to Clara because of her dedication and strength to finish her studies. Cynthia asked Clara if she is willing to study with her in the university of melbourn. Clara nodes to Cynthia's invitation and she promised that she will enroll for the said university. Upon hearing that Clara will be going away with Cynthia, Jimmy insisted that Clara should stay and enroll from a near by college for him to see her more often but Cynthia insisted that Clara has more opportunities if ever she study in melbourn. Jimmy accepted that decision of her girl friend to enroll next year and she said to Clara that he will cherish the time she stay in their home town york. During the day that Cynthia will return to the university, she bids farewell to Jimmy and Clara. They accompanied Cynthia and bid good bye to her waving their hand to her as she rides the train. For the short period of time, Clara develop an attachment to Cynthia and she considered her as her best friend and buddy because she understand her experience and her advises are very effective to her. When Cynthia is already far away, Clara asked Jimmy about Clara if she experience having a boy friend. Jimmy replied that she did not have any boy friend during that time and he is not sure if he has boy friend this time. He asked Jimmy if there are times he become attracted to Cynthia but Jimmy said he has not feelings for me. "Why me why did you chose me?" said Clara. Jimmy with a confuse face said that she chose simplicity and being kindhearted, also he find her beautiful. Clara just smiled and hug Jimmy for the words that he said to her. Clara promised to her self that she will do her best to make Jimmy proud of her. She wants to be like Cynthia although there are things that Clara saw to Cynthia that she longs to have like a loving and caring family that she do not have. Staying in the town of york has many memories that Jimmy and Clara treasured as couple. The moment of life of happy moment of Cynthia change when their was a time she asked Jimmy that she will go to the market for a while to buy some stocks from the market. From that time Cynthia did not return for some days that makes Jimmy become worried even her landlord John's Smith. Several days, someone found Cynthia lying in a road unconsciously with a torn dress and disfigured hair but she is alive. Upon hearing this incident, they rushed Cynthia in the hospital and asked what happen to her. Jimmy saw that she has many bruised everywhere in her body and he cried about the thing that happen to Cynthia. During her recovery, while Cynthia is in the hospital she states that she met her relative in the father side specifically his Auntie Elizabeth. Her Auntie Elizabeth hates her because she considered her as an illegitimate child of her father. During the encounter, she grabs her hair and force her to go to her home. In the house of her aunt, some of their family member were shocked and ask Clara where did she go all these years with a mad face but she remained silent. They accused her that there life became hard because no one will attend their house chores and she need to pay the debts of her mother. Clara ask them to let her go but they did not allowed her to go and locked her in the basement of their house. Clara is crying and he missed Jimmy very much, she was forced to do the chores that she need to do and in one occasion she made mistake because of extreme exhaustion one class of cup fall and breaks, one of her uncle Luis pour some cigarette head on the skin of Clara that made her cry as a punishment for her actions. For almost 2 years she is away from them, Clara needs to make up things to pay the debt of her mother. His uncle Luis notice that Clara is already adult and looks more pretty than before ask one of his companion want to touch her. Upon hearing this conversation, she decided to come up a plan and a way for her to escape again. When the family is out for a meeting, Clara started to bring out the pliers and she started to reach the pad lock and break it. She open the door and after opening the door, her uncle luis suddenly appears in the door and attempted to grab her but she bite her fingers and run away from the house. Luis started to call everyone, and they started to look around to find her. Clara started to hide from the bush of the tress because she is not quiet far from the house. He waited until her pursuer is away and started until he reach the york town where Jimmy lives. Because of exhaustion and lack of food, she fall in the ground haft dead with some bruises and torn dress. In the hospital, Jimmy felt so bad to what happened to Clara and he promised to protect her no matter what. Clara cried hugging Jimmy and stating that she's very sorry for what happen and blame herself for not being careful. Jimmy wanted a revenge from the relatives of Clara, Clara insisted that Jimmy is not part of this conflict and he don't want to involve Jimmy regarding this incident. Clara said that he will do her best to find justice to what had happened to her and plead to Jimmy not to do anything. Mean while, in the house of her aunt Elizabeth, she blame Luis for being dumb letting Clara escape from their house. They were talking the whereabouts of Clara "maybe she went to her Biological Mother Gloria Solace. They tried to look the Clara's Mother and found her in a place called Las Swerte, a desolate place. Even Clara's mother don't know the whereabouts of her daughter, Elizabeth spank Gloria in her head and said "if you want to pay all of your debts please bring us Clara. Tense and fear cover the body of Gloria and she agreed to what they had said and she is willing to surrender if ever she saw her. After Clara recovered in the hospital for almost one month, she no longer want to go outside apart from the york town because of the trauma it gives to her when she went away outside the town. She enjoys her work as a farmer with her companion Jimmy. During the time Cynthia went to York town to fetch Clara to enrol to melbourn university. She asked Clara what course would she get in college. Clara responded that she want to become an accountant and Cynthia responded that it is a good choice. Cynthia is in her third year in college taking up Biological Science, she shared to Clara that she plans to be a teacher someday. Clara nodded and shared to Cynthia that she is very jealous to her because she can do to everything she wants. Clara is just only taking up her studies for the first time because she is delayed for almost to years because she needs to work. Cynthia and Clara become one of the best friends in their school and many people notice about their bonding on each others. Boys are very amazed to their beauties and sometimes the two of them received gifts from some boys. One boy who had crushed to Clara is Alberto he always insisted to take out Clara for a date but Cynthia is on the rescue to prohibit Clara from some boys because she is already taken. Alberto is Cynthia's classmate in one of a subject named Philosophy 101, Alberto is very attracted to Clara she always insist her to date her even though she has a boy friend. Alberto is the class heartthrob most of female classmate like Alberto and they are happy that Clara always ignore him because they have some chance for Alberto to notice them since he still single. To them, they like Alberto because she has a handsome face and masculine face. Cynthia is the school muse everyone who sees her stop to appreciate her, because of her cute face and angelic smile. She became the main face of school cheer squad of melbourn. One of her friend during her stay in melbourn university study is Noel, Noel is one her close friends because he is always there whenever she needs him. Noel is cute, kind and caring, he tried to court Cynthia but Cynthia denied him as stated that she can only accept him as a friend. Noel knowing that Cynthia has a new companion name Clara, Noel sees this as a chance to be more closer to Cynthia by be friending Clara. Clara enjoys her companionship with Noel and Cynthia since Jimmy is far away from them.Jimmy tries to communicate to them through emails and letters. Jimmy always check Clara about the things she do in school and Jimmy became so much happy that he Knows Clara is enjoying his studies in the melbourn university by saying that she has a consistent high grades and their teacher stated that there is a possibility that she will be given an scholarship that makes Jimmy proud of her. Jimmy stated in his letters that he will be visiting Clara in their school. During his visitation, Cynthia, Noel and Clara waited Jimmy in the airport terminal. Clara is very excited to see her boy friend coming from the airport. When Clara saw her boyfriend, she run as fast as she could and approach Jimmy and hug him. Clara introduce Jimmy to their new friend Noel, Noel approach him with confidence. Despite of Jimmy's outfit wearing a T shirt, Jeans and Slippers he did not hesitate him to approach and welcome him in their place. Noel and Jimmy were getting along with each other and he showed to him that he is a reliable person. When Jimmy approach the airport terminal, he notice immediately Noel and though at first if it is Cynthia's boyfriend but Noel immediately denied it and says he tried to court Cynthia but she said he did not love him. Jimmy insisted that he will help him since he know Cynthia because they are childhood friends. Noel is very happy about it knowing that there is someone who will help him. Noel suggested Jimmy to take a tour in their school to refresh himself and to have more time with Clara. At first, Jimmy hesitate to roam around because of his outfit but he was persuaded to tour around. Living in the york town, he is not use to wear clothes that are famous even though he has money to buy some clothing items. Most of the students in the melbourn university were very shocked when they see Clara's boyfriend because of his outfit. They thought in their mind, how come Clara has boyfriend without fashion sense. Hearing this, Clara ignored what some of the students in their school and focus her attention to Jimmy. When Alberto saw them, he approach Clara and told her is this your boyfriend, I am more fit to become your boyfriend than him. See him, he just wear a slipper and it seems that he is unschooled. When Clara saw this, he tried to defend her boyfriend that he is not doing anything wrong. Alberto tried to move closer to Clara attempting to pat him in the back but Jimmy immediately hold his hand and ask what is he doing to his girlfriend. Alberto tried to smack him but Jimmy immediately evaded his attack, Jimmy counter attack by punching his face that makes his nose bleed. Immediately Noel tried to stop the scene and some other guys started to stop the commotion. The school administrator called who started the fight, the guard presented Alberto and Jimmy. Alberto's face is covered by bandage because he was accidentally punch by Jimmy. Alberto accused Jimmy of trespassing because he is not a student of the school and he harms students. The administrator got mad to Jimmy looking at his outfit, she immediately ask the guard to surrender Jimmy to the police station. Upon hearing this case, Jimmy insisted that he is just protecting her girlfriend from Alberto because he is attempting to hold her. The administrator stated that he violated the rules of the school and needs to punished. Jimmy was detained in the Jail for one day and then he was released for that day and Noel came to ask for apology for what happened. Noel try to compose himself and said that we can't control everything but we cant can control our reactions. Clara was very worried to what happened to Jimmy, Jimmy tried to composed himself and hug his girlfriend Clara. During that time, he invited Clara to walk for a while in the park to enjoy the sunset. He stated that he missed him and hope she's okay in the university. Clara nodded and said that everything is fine. From a distance, Cynthia was looking at them from a far, she sees her childhood friend happy to Clara with some tears but she is still happy since Jimmy finally met Clara. While Jimmy and Clara is having a quality time together. Clara spotted familiar face, "Gloria" Clara's biological mother. Upon seeing her, she immediately called her "Mom" and her mother immediately recognised her with a bit of hesitation to come near with him. Without hesitation, with teary eyes Clara run to his mother with joy and hug her. This is me "Clara" she said, the mother who is in the state of shocked started to hug her and they are crying with each other. Gloria is asking sorry to her child what was done to her that she left her to pay for her debt when her father died from an incident. Clara introduced her mother to her boyfriend Jimmy and Gloria thank her boyfriend for always protecting her. In that moment, Gloria realised and remember that he need to surrender Clara to Elizabeth. She started to feel shivered and fear, starting to panic the mother run away and Clara was shocked. Cynthia together with Noel came to their place asking what happened. "I just saw my mother" said Clara; "that is good why did she run" I don't know, but it seems there is someone chasing her" said Clara. During that time, they tried to chase Clara's mother and ask her why is she running. They told them that, it is for their safety that they need to be far away from her. Jimmy told her that if ever she wants to see Clara she can see her in their home during vacation at Town York, Molave st., Jimmy Walterson Residence. Clara is very nervous because of her mother's reaction towards her. They let her mother go away since it is her decision and pray that she will be alright. Jimmy promised to Clara that we will have time to look for her mother but Clara stop him because it is none of his business, it is a family matter. When Gloria got home, she felt mixed feeling of excitement and nervous because she saw her daughter for the first time. She saw that her daughter is very happy and how she wish that all his troubles will be vanished. With teary eyes, she promised to her self that she will do her best not to reveal that she saw he daughter Clara. Someone knocks in her door, he is Roman Gist.This person Roman is the current living in partner of Gloria. This is a violent man, if ever he is intoxicated with alcohol he abuse gloria by holding her head and banging it in the wall. Gloria regrets to live with Roman because it is too late to realise that the wrong person she is with a monster. Roman ask Gloria for money Gloria handed a cent of coins. Roman Gist got angry because it is not enough to buy a bottle of liquor. Gloria is working as a teller and tries to budget her money for the household needs and everyday expenses. Roman has no work and has to rely to Gloria regarding his needs. After few days, Jimmy bid farewell to Gloria she told them to visit to York Town during Vacation. The three agrees that they will be visiting their hometown. Going back on his home, Jimmy is trying to internalized the situation about Clara and her mother Gloria. In his though she has a complicated family background and needs to be solve. Going to York Town, he met his father and mother longing to check his meet up with Clara. Jimmy told them that the meet up work. Larry told his son that their is someone suspicious roaming around looking for Clara, he told Jimmy to stay on guard and protect Clara at all cost. Suddenly some gunshot was heard over their house and the dogs started bark heavily. Jimmy tried to look outside but he sees a note written in blood that they need to bring Clara to them or else their life will be on risk. Larry call up all the security in the area and scold them allowing suspicious people roaming around their village. Someone was approaching behind the bush, when Jimmy started to clear the bush. It was Gloria the mother of Clara, Gloria told Jimmy that Clara is in danger because Elizabeth is looking for her because they need something and Gloria can't explain to Jimmy about their intention to her. Jimmy explained that he will do his best to protect Clara from evil enemies. Jimmy told Gloria to look for a safer space to hide to avoid incidents. During school vacation Cynthia, Clara and Noel visited York town to see Jimmy. When Cynthia, Clara and Noel was near to the home of Jimmy. They notice that their home is devastated with bullets. Clara is very nervous and cannot speak clearly. They knock in their house and found Jimmy and his parents were in safe and well condition. Clara ask what happened to their home but Jimmy just stated that someone hates them started to fire their home with bullets. The parents of Jimmy is starting to think to transfer to a safe place but Jimmy insisted that nothing will happen to them as long as they practice safety precautions. The parents of Jimmy invited the group that they will be going to a resort for relaxation. The 3 visitor agreed to go with them in go-shin resort one of famous place in york town. While on their way, the parents check Clara's study in the university. Clara responded that she got her scholarship at the university because of her grades. Jimmy stated that she is very proud of her and need to have a celebration of her success. Cynthia also got an award as the best cheer leader in the melbourn university. Arriving in the venue the group saw a familiar face "It's Alberto". . .
