Chloe's POV
I woke up again for the third time today, still finding myself in this same hospital room.
White walls
Smell of disinfectant filled my nostrils.
every event from before rushed into my head and I went numb, I just sat on the bed staring blankly into space wishing everything was a joke, that my parents are still alive, that I haven't lost them.
But they're dead
I saw their lifeless body
They're actually dead
They're gone
I could see tears blurring my vision, why did they leave, it's too early, what am I supposed to do now.
I was lost in my thoughts, I didn't even notice someone had entered the room until I felt a hand tapping me.
"hey, I brought you food, I think you should eat your body needs it" the voice of a man brought me out of my thoughts and I turned to look at him.
It was him
The same man from before
And for the first time I looked at him very well, he was handsome
He had Grey eyes
Small pink lips
Sharp jaw lines
Hair styled neatly
He was tall, he should be 6'3
Long lashes
Neatly carved brows
But he had this strange aura around him, I can't explain it but it made me shiver a little.
And for a moment I was lost staring at him, I've never seen a man as handsome as him.
He was also staring at me, the both of us lost into each other's eyes.
After a while I looked away because I was getting nervous "I'm not hungry" I said to him softly looking down.
He raised my cheeks with his hands gently and he wiped my tears away carefully.
"you should eat, you're weak, your body needs it" he said looking at me intently.
I wanted to argue but there was this aura emanating from him that was screaming danger and it was making me scared , so I just nodded my head.
He brought the food out, opened it and passed it to me.
"here" he said
"eat carefully"
I collected the food, took the spoon and started eating slowly but I could feel the man's gaze on me the entire time and It was making me nervous.
Elliot's POV
Silence filled the room as I watch her eat.
She was a sight to behold.
After a while she was done eating, I took the plate from her and kept it aside.
"thank you" she muttered in a low voice,and I nodded.
"don't you have any family" I asked her
"I haven't seen anyone around, I think you should call them" I said softly and I saw sadness flashing in her eyes, tears welled up in her eyes and she looked down"
I immediately knew that I've touched a topic I'm not supposed to.
"I'm sorry if I've triggered something, but it's very important we know, because their attention will be in the hospital" I said carefully, watching her expression closely.
"no, I don't have any family" she said her voice breaking,
I could feel her pain.
I creased my brow in confusion, how is that even possible I asked myself.
"don't you have any relative, uncle, aunty, cousin, grandparents?" I asked calmly because I was confused, is it even possible not to have a family.
"No, my parents had always been my only family, I grew up here in Los Angeles with my mom and dad, no other relatives, it had always been the three of us" she said her voice trembling.
her words hit me harder than I expected
No family
Nowhere to call home
She had lost everything in a single day
My chest tightened
"I see" i said quietly
There was silence in the room for a while
Then I made a decision.
'"you can't keep staying here forever" I continued, my tone calm but firm
She didn't respond
She just sat there staring blankly
"if you have nowhere to go -" I paused briefly, watching her reaction.
"then come with me" I said finally.
Chloe's POV
"if you have nowhere to go then come with me" he words rang in my head, I looked up at him shocked, there was silence in the room for some seconds.
"no you don't have to worry, I'll find a part time job and I'll be fine" I said to him slowly, but deep down I knew it isn't as easy as I've said it but that was the only thing I could think of.
because where am I going to start from ,I'm all alone
Tears filled my eyes.
"do you think you can handle everything yourself with a part time job, I'm sure you're still a college student right?" he asked gently and I nodded
"then you can't handle everything alone, I'm not saying you should come stay with me forever, I'm just saying you can stay with me for a while before yoy figure things out" he said softening his tone.
