Chapter 4

From the other side, Vion ran up to Kai.

"Jupiter," Vion called.

Kai immediately turned to Vion, then he handed Jupiter to Vion carefully.

"Come with me," Vion said with red and puffy eyes.

Kai smiled, then shook his head. "Take him away," Kai said, nodding his head.

Vion was silent for a moment, looking into Kai's eyes, then she immediately turned around and ran to carry Jupiter's body away from that place.

Kai walked forward to Kendric. "What are you doing?" he asked in a calm tone.

"Fool, get out of here. I'll hold them off; they won't dare to shoot you," Kendric replied as he kept his eyes forward.

Kai stopped right behind Kendric; he looked around the place and saw that there were twenty of Mr. Thomas' men who were currently pointing their guns at him and Kendric from the street in front of the house.

"Get out of here immediately! I only have five minutes to protect you. Listen, my father is currently being held by those soldiers; once you're free from here, you have to bring back his body dead or alive," Kendric pleaded in a stern tone.

"Am I giving you a hard time?" asked Kai as he looked back at Kendric's back.

"Fool, you're always a nuisance; get lost!" snapped Kendric.

A moment later, the sound of several car brakes sounded quite loud around the area.

Kai immediately turned his head to the east and saw several cars stopped and parked in a row on the street near the house. He frowned as he knew that they were not the cars belonging to Lion-1's group.

"Who are they?" he thought.

A moment later, 18 people came out of the five cars brandishing guns at Mr. Thomas' men. They all walked forward towards Mr. Thomas's men cautiously.

Immediately half of Mr. Thomas's men turned their guns towards the people who had just arrived.

Kai took a cell phone from his pants pocket and called someone.

"Can you see who just arrived?" asked Kai as he continued to stare at the people who were still pointing their guns at each other.

"I can only see that their leader is a woman," replied Leon on the call.

"Then are you ready?" asked Kai as he glanced right and left to see where his men were hiding.

"We're ready," Leon replied.

Kai then turned to stare at Kendric's back. "Okay, when I give the signal, you can—" Kai stopped talking when a woman walked towards him and Kendric calmly from a distance.

"Are you turning stupid?" the woman asked aloud.

Kendric then turned his head and looked at Kai, who was behind him, out of the corner of his eye. "Is she your friend?"

"I don't know," replied Kai while looking at the woman in black who was currently wearing large sunglasses as well as a wide bucket hat.

"How, sir?" asked Leon, who was still inside the call.

"Wait for me to give the signal; hold everything first," Kai replied and then turned off the call.

Kai put the cell phone into his pants pocket while continuing to stare at the woman who was casually walking towards him.

"Who are you?" Kai asked when the woman was not far in front of him. Then she walked forward and stood right next to Kendric.

"It's so easy for you to forget people," said the woman who was right in front of Kai.

Then she turned to the bomb on Kendric's body. "Is that bomb real?"

"Of course it's real," Kendric replied. "There are only 3 minutes left, so get out of here! Why are you getting close to me?" he ordered.

The woman took off her glasses and then bent her body slightly to look at the suicide bomb attached to Kendric's body.

Kendric immediately took a step back. "Are you crazy? Why are you bringing your face closer to this bomb? If you even slightly touch the wires on this bomb, then it will explode, and we will all die in vain, so get out of here!" he shouted.

"I've never seen a bomb with this shape; did you assemble it yourself?" The woman asked as she looked up at Kendric.

Kendric closed his eyes tightly as he held back the annoyance in his heart. "Why do you even care about this? This bomb is not to be admired now."

"But this bomb is interesting, I—" The woman stopped talking when Kai suddenly grabbed her arm.

The woman turned to Kai.

"It's really you," Kai said while observing Lyn's face.

Lyn immediately smiled sweetly at Kai. "So you've remembered me," she said while standing straight again.

Then Lyn pointed at Kendric. "Isn't he your brother?"

Kai glanced at Kendric.

"Tell him to stop the bomb because my men have overcome the people here," Lyn said while continuing to stare at Kai's face.

Kendric, who heard that immediately, turned his gaze back to the people who were currently on the street in front of his house. "Are you sure about that?"

Lyn turned to Kendric. "Of course I'm sure. Or do you deliberately want to die in vain? If that's your choice, then I—"

"No." Kendric interrupted Lyn's speech. Then he quickly pulled out one of the red wires on the left side of the bomb. "If there's another option, of course I still want to live."

A moment later, the numbers on the bomb stopped.

"You really are the one who made this bomb," Lyn said with a warm smile as if she were an innocent girl who was amazed at something.

"Tell me, why are you here?" asked Kai while grasping Lyn's arm tighter.

Lyn immediately grimaced and then looked back at Kai. "Please, stop; you're hurting me," she said with a facial expression as if she was really in pain.

Kendric, who was releasing the bomb from his body, immediately turned his head to look at Kai's hand that was tightly grasping Lyn's arm. Then he turned to look at Kai's face. 'He usually wouldn't hurt a woman, but why does his facial expression show that he wants to kill this woman? Who exactly is this woman?' he thought as he turned to look at Lyn.

A moment later, the sirens of the fire department could be heard heading towards the place. Of course, this made Mr. Thomas's men hide their weapons because they couldn't risk tarnishing Mr. Thomas's good name.

After that, Mr. Thomas's men immediately left the place, while Lyn also immediately turned around and gave a sign to her men to leave the place.

Then Lyn turned around again. "Alright, we're free now, but it looks like we have to go to the hospital to treat the wound," Lyn said while pointing at Kendric's shoulder, which seemed to have a red spot of blood from the open wound.

Kai also turned to Kendric.

"It's just a small wound," Kendric said as he lowered the bomb from his body. "We better leave this place soon, or those soldiers will come back and make more trouble."

Lyn nodded and then smiled again. "Alright then, you can go to my car while this heavy thing will be carried by this jerk," she said while pointing at Kai.

Kai immediately frowned.

Kendric glanced at Kai and then turned to stare at Lyn's car. "Alright, I'll go first," he said as he walked quickly away from Lyn and Kai.

"Why are you glaring?" Asked Lyn while staring deeply into Kai's eyes.

"Why did you come back to this country?" asked Kai while holding Lyn's left shoulder firmly.

Lyn immediately held her right cheek and then closed her eyes. "Please, I'm going to get r***d," she said in a tone like someone playing a stage play.

"Disgusting," said Kai while releasing Lyn's shoulder with a slight stomp that made Lyn take a step back.

But a moment later, Lyn came back forward and made their bodies stick together.

"Tell me why you can—" Kai stopped talking when he accidentally saw a green light in the distance.

'Why did he suddenly stop talking?' thought Lyn, who was curious to see Kai's current expression.

"Where's your g*n?" asked Kai again.

'g*n?' Lyn thought as she frowned.

"Upper left thigh," she replied calmly.

"Don't move; he's aiming for your head," Kai said as he slipped his right hand into Lyn's dress, then carefully picked up the g*n.

Suddenly a nosy smile appeared on Lyn's lips.

"Let's play," she said as she crouched down.

"i***t!" shouted Kai.
