Morgan placed the refilled glass of iced tea in front of Haley and took her seat at the table, laughing along with the other women as they chatted and gossiped about life on Pearl Island.
It pleased Morgan that the three newcomers were fitting in. At first they‘d been standoffish, and Haley had almost seemed afraid of being around the other women. But it didn"t take long for her to warm up to the pleasantness and generous overtones from those seated next to her.
