The world feels like new again. The people at home, the teachers in school, they all seem to be in a better mood. It’s like New Year’s Day all over again. And it really is New Year … not just because we have a new President, but because the Chinese celebrated New Year just last month.
I learned that from Tita L. She read it in the newspaper. A writer named Quijano de Manila says that on February 9, the Year of the Tiger began. The Chinese believe that the tiger means revolution, upheaval, and change. What’s more, the February Revolution happened right at the first full moon of their new year.
