...... "Leah!" Brian called out immediately he left the ward,he looked around for a while before heading to the garage where he assumed Leah would be. "Leah!" he called out again, this time,Leah's cold voice rang out from the corner of a black Rolls-Royce. Brian walked further and saw Leah leaning against the black car, dressed in all black, she nearly blended in with the car's dark color,he could've have believed that there was no one there if he hadn't heard her voice and seen her slender figure resting on the car. "You called me.." she said calmy with a lit cigarette in her hand "You're smoking" Brian immediately noticed. He knew Leah didn't smoke unless she was in a really bad mood "Don't overthink it" she replied shortly "What did you do to him?" He asked, clearly referring to Brittany's father Leah looked up at him, eyes red and frightening "He abused her, sexually" she said in a shacky voice that held a mix of emotions, anger, fear, regret. She felt it all "She didn't deserve any of it,she still doesn't!" Leah says, her eyes burning with rage, her fists clenched so tightly, the cigarette in her hand was soon squeezed. Brian knew that his friend was truly upset this time, that rarely happened so he wasn't sure what to do "calm down" Brian looked at her cold eyes that soon started tearing up "Leah" he called her name softly, causing the tears already gathered in her eyes to fall down her face, slowly. He closed the distance between them, pulling her into a hug "I want to protect her,Brian" She whispered in a hoarse voice, her whole body trembling from anger only God knew how she was trying to control "So do just that" He said in a relatively low voice "What if she..she doesn't want me to" she said, stammering. He had never witnessed Leah act so helpless to the point of tears, fear and uncertainty. "Leah, you love her, don't you?" He asked "Yes,I do" She said, still crying on his shoulder, her tears falling on his shirt as he held her tightly "Then be with her" He said with much difficulty. Only he knew how hard it was to tell the person he loved and wanted to be with someone else,it felt like someone had stabbed his heart,he felt pain but he knew that her heart belonged to someone else and not him so he just wanted to see her happy, with the person she loved. "She doesn't love.." "shhh" he interrupts her, knowing exactly what she was going to say "Go for it lil one" He smiled bitterly with a little tear at the corner of his eyes, his head throbbing, his heart racing, and fists clenched so tightly "I love you" she whispered, oblivious to how much those words hurt him "I love you too,now stop crying and tell me what you did to him,I'm getting scared on his behalf" he said half jokingly she smirked coldly,"Let me show you instead" "That's not a good expression,Leah what did you do?" He exclaimed "Hey! I'm not so scary,I didn't do much" she replied, laughing "Let's just go" she said with a smile as she walked towards the driver's seat and got into the car "Should I give Luke a call?" Brian asked, suddenly remembering how confused Luke looked when he left,he felt he needed to tell him what was going on "No" She immediately declined "Why?" He asked, wondering why she was against him informing Luke "I don't like him" she casually replied with a shrug "are you serious" he laughed but soon stopped when he noticed her glaring at him "don't ruin the good you've done today" She said coldly, her eyes returning to its usual coldness *what an ingrate* he thought to himself, not daring to say it aloud. She suddenly turned to look at him "But" she said, wearing an unfathomable expression "Yeah?" His interest was picked "Thank you" she smiled calmly and started the car. He smiled to himself, his heart racing as he looked at her from the side, feeling a mix of emotions that he couldn't let out. .... After about an hour drive, they finally stopped in front of a house that looked somewhat like a warehouse "I'm starting to feel like you're in the mafia" Brian said as he looked around the isolated area that had several men in black guarding the entrance. It looked like a whole new city, one that belonged to a gang. "Maybe" she shurugged, sending shivers down his spine "Yeah,I suddenly don't want to know what you did to him anymore, let's go" he said, half jokingly but only he knew how serious he was. "Why are you scared?" she laughed "Are you really asking me that,Leah??" He said, almost yelling as his whole body trembled while they walked further into the mysterious building with Leah leading the way. "Chill" she laughed even harder "When did you get this place and why am I just knowing that you own such a place?" He asked, ignoring her mockery "Oh sorry my Lord,I should have reported to you the moment I set sights on this place, please accept my offering" she said, kneeling on one knee with hands held high,as if offering a sacrifice to a god "What?" He laughed so hard,he almost passed out "What nonsense" she got to her feet and hissed, walking away "Hey! Wait" he called out to her before running to catch up with her because he knew she wouldn't wait for him "I suddenly regret bringing you here" she said "what? why?" He feigned anger "You're causing a noise here" he suddenly felt like a nuisance and kept shut throughout their short walk to the building Leah had left Brittany's father "so what did he tell you?" He couldn't help but ask Her expression immediately changed as she recalled what that man had said. She hated him so much "I'm in no position to say" She replied. He chose not to probe further and just nodded in response "Good evening ma'am" several armed men bowed their heads and greeted in unison the moment Leah walked in. Brian was getting more and more scared of this friend of his,*Why was she so scary??* he thought to himself. Leah walked further in,with an imposing aura, her eyes cold and focused, her long legs taking huge strides, her shoe hitting the floor of the room, not loud, not quiet either. She walked with elegance and authority, her height making her look all the more imposing and hostile. She abruptly came to a halt when she stood at the door to a room, looking at the tall, wooden door,Luke felt more terrified than he had ever been, his legs shaking, his eyes scanning the spacious environment that gave off a dark vibe,he didn't know if it was just the color tone or something else but the environment made him feel really uncomfortable and scared "You asked to come,I didn't force you" she said,as if reading his mind. Immediately after she said that, she pushed open the door in front of them, showing a man tied to a bed, with wounds all over his body and the strong smell of blood filled the air "Wha..what do you want" the man stammered, immediately recognizing Leah as the tall figure that entered the room "please just let me go" he begged, eyes red, tears mixed with sweat and blood streaming down his face,he looked haggard and nothing like the vibrant man he was before he was brought there "Shut it" Leah snapped, annoyed. He immediately kept quiet, looking at her with eyes that seemed to say,*please just release me,I won't ever bother you* "You will not leave here alive" she said bluntly, stunning both Brian and Lothaire. Brain was shocked that Leah could actually say such cruel things. He knew this friend of his had a heartless front but underneath all that, she was really soft hearted. he couldn't imagine just how angry she must've felt to be able to say those words with no ounce of fear or uncertainty in her voice, just pure anger, hatred and the need to kill. "Calm down" he tried to soothe her but she glared at him coldly with a certain type of darkness he had never seen in her eyes,he knew there was no talking her out of this. Looking at the pitiful man tied to the bed,he sighed and said, "You should ask Brittany about this first" there was no response "it might not be what she wants" he added "I know" she sighed and walked out hurriedly, trying her best to keep her emotions in check. He could see that she was struggling to so he let her do so while he stood in the room, hands crossed, eyes blank and emotionless,he sighed and walked out, shutting the door tightly. He walked outside the building, feeling nauseous from the all the blood he had seen earlier. "Sorry you had to see that" Leah's voice rang out from the side of a black van "It's okay" he forced a smile "Are you okay?" He asked "Yes" she lied "With a cigarette in hand?" He said, collecting it from her. She sighed, rubbing her eyes that were already getting red as her tears were threatening to fall "You've been crying a lot lately" he commented "I'm not crying" she laughed softly, cleaning her eyes with the back of her hand "It's okay to cry,you love her and of course you are hurt" he said, trying to comfort her "Mmm" she hummed and smiled lightly "I do love her" She muttered to herself, smiling faintly. At that moment, she swore to protect Brittany at all cost and she was going to do just that. ****
