Chapter 14: A Good Think Isle of Man On the morning following the discovery of Billy's scarf, Caroline woke to the roar of Cyril’s MG as he went off to view something called the “Great Laxey Wheel”—known far and wide, he’d said, as the largest working waterwheel in the world. She’d begged off going with him on their last day on the island for several reasons. Mainly she knew she was seeing and hearing a bunch of little things that added up to one big thing. Like small pieces of a jigsaw puzzle you know will complete the picture, but somehow just don’t make sense by themselves. First there was the scene in the pub with Billy’s scarf. To untrained, ordinary eyes, the event might seem trivial, funny in fact, and, given where she was, on the Isle of Man, the first thing that sprang to mind
