Retired Luna, New Mate

The Confusion

Damiens growl made Lea look in his direction. His eyes were like lava as he watched her and her newly discovered mate. Suddenly feeling flustered for the first time in her life she looked around at the faces surrounding her.

Her son had a slightly amused look on his face, Letty was just sheer shock. Most of the pack was utter shock except her daughter who was doubled over laughing and Alpha Anton and Luna Adeline had huge smiles.

'Eh....' Lea automatically went into Luna mode, 'Well that was unexpected,' she started with a smile, 'Cloaked moon pack members if you would please lead the members of Redmoon to the centre green where our amazing Omegas have prepared a huge barbecue for you with plenty of refreshments'

Small mumbles erupted but her pack still respected her as Luna and they left the garden leaving only 7 people behind.

Anton, Ady, Johnny, Letty and her mate all watched her with smiles while her ex mate looked at her as if she was vermin.

'Who do you think you are Beta? Looking at my Luna like she is yours' Damien growled as he stormed towards her mate with thunder in his eyes.

A growl erupted from her new found mate, 'She isn't your Luna anymore, ex Alpha'

Damien got even closer and Lea got pulled behind the giant.

'That's quite enough,' came Antons strong voice. 'Everyone take a seat and we will sort this out'

Lea moved on autopilot and sat down in the first seat facing the stage, her mate sat right in front of her and looked on her eyes.

'My name is Buster, well Brian but everyone calls my Buster' he said with a shy grin. She couldn't help but smile back.

'I'm Leanne but everyone calls me Lea'

A megawatt smile broke across his face at that.

'Hello,' came Damiens angry voice 'what makes this beta think he can just come in here and take my Luna? Anyone else think this is ridiculous?' he looks around frantically looking for support.

'I actually think it's quite beautiful,' came Lettys excited voice.

'Noone asked you little girl' Damien growled at her.

'That's enough father, she is your Luna now and my mate. You will show her respect or so help me God I will rip out your throat' came a roar from her son Johnny.

Lea was so over whelmed that she wasn't even registering what was being said. All she was thinking about was a year's worth of planning can't just go away, she had places to see, cities to get lost in and a cute little cottage to come back to in 3 months.

'Maybe someone should ask Lea how she feels about all this,' A small hand touched her shoulder as Ady spoke to her, getting her attention.

Looking at everyone's expectant faces Lea still didn't know what to do.

'I think that everyone should go and enjoy the rest of the night' she said politely, looking at her son and Letty 'This is your night guys, go enjoy it. I think I maybe need a little time'

Letty and Johnny left after a quick hug. Anton and Ady followed close behind. Turning to her ex mate,

'Damien, our contract is null and void now,' she raised her hand to stop Damien interrupting her 'I respect you as my ex partner and Alpha but you no longer have any say in what I do. Please leave me alone to have a discussion with Buster'

Damien dropped his head in defeat and turned, 'You look beautiful tonight Lea, happy' he said before leaving.

Lea stood for a second in shock before Busters voice broke the silence.

'A discussion?' he looked at me questioningly, 'That does not sound good'

'Buster, I really don't know what to say. I never thought I would find my fated mate especially at 37'

'I am 39 so I have you beat' he says with a smile, 'Does this mean you are going to reject me?'

Lea didn't know what to say, she had such plans and now her head was filled with images of his massive body naked in her bed.

'I have month's of travelling planned, I have been a Luna most of my life and I would like some freedon'

Buster face gradually dropped more and more as she spoke.

'I am not saying I am rejecting you,' she reached for his hand 'just give me some time to process this'

His eyes held a little hope, 'Anything you want Lea it is yours, I have waited my whole life for you'

Standing up they ended up pressed together, after a small laugh Busters lips suddenly engulfed hers. His taste was like warm honey, she found herself pulling him closer and his arms wrapped around her. Deepening the kiss she couldn't get enough of him, his hard chest was flat against her palms as his hands massaged her behind.

'Ahem,' a fake cough pulled them from the moment. Turning Lea sees her daughter leaning against the side of the pack house watching them with a cheeky grin on her face, 'As gross as this is to interrupt, Mum Letty needs you for something to do with the Omegas'

Lea stepped away and headed towards her daughter leaving behind the amazing smell she already loved,

'You know I'm too old to become a sister again,' Rosie laughed as Lea got to her.

'oh haha Rosie, now what is the issue' Lea couldn't help smile as she grabbed her daughters arm and turned her towards the green.

The only issue was that Letty wasn't sure what the Omegas were asking. This barbecue was Leas plan so when the Omegas were confirming plans with Letty she has no idea what was happening.

On auto-Luna-mode Lea sorted everything out and even managed to stop one of her own warriors getting beat up by the Redmoon warriors.

All the while she could feel Busters eyes on her, it was making her nervous and excited all at the same time. The small glances she stole when he wasn't looking showed her just how right the moon goddess was.

He was huge with muscle for miles, his red hair wasn't too long, just enough to run your fingers through. His Hazel eyes seemed to glow in certain lights, he truly was a perfect fit for her. Her 5 foot 9 frame made her taller than most people but he made her feel small, it was nice.

As she headed to her bed in the pack house for the last time, she knew she had so much to think about.

Her dreams would be filled with Hazel eyes, fresh books and whiskey.
