Chapter 5 - Longing for love

I woke up past 10 am in the morning. This is it, the hangover. It felt something in my stomach. I ran to the bathroom and threw up the alcohol I drank last night.

Then, It flashed the memories in Kiet's Condo. Niran, my best friend is making love to my boyfriend. They are both Gays! I cried again.

I somehow manage myself. I took a bath to freshen up. I am hungry. I ordered food online and delivered it to my apartment.

I called the cafe and make excuses. I can't go to the cafe with my puffy eyes. I stayed in my apartment, sulking myself. I entertain myself by playing online games.

I got bored. It is night again. I can't sleep. I decided to go back to the restaurant bar hoping that Faye is there. So, I have someone to talk to.

I prepared myself. I wear V-neck black dress. It is below the knee showing my long legs. My height is 5'7".

They said that I can be a model because of my slim body. I wanted to be beautiful when Faye sees me. I don't want to be intimidated with her beauty.

It is 8pm already when I arrived at the bar. I am disappointed because Faye is not there.

I ask the bartender why there's no singer tonight. He said that she is in sick leave. I got worried. I ask him where she lives but he is hesitant to give her address.

I said that I am her friend but I don't know where exactly she lives. He is in doubt but because he remembered me last night and I did not stop asking, he gave her an address.

It was few blocks from the bar. I rode a car to get there fast. Her apartment is in 8th floor.

I ring doorbell many times in number 805. But no one is answering. Maybe she is sleeping already.

I was ready to leave when the doors open. I turned back immediately. I saw Faye. She's pale and looks sick. I approached her immediately.

"Yoko, why are you here?"

"I heard that you are sick. Are you ok?"

"I just have some headache and colds". You better go home. You might be sicked too."

"No, it's alright. Do you have someone there to take care of you?"

"No, but I am ok."

"No, you are not ok. I'll go inside."

Without waiting her approval, i went inside.

To my surprise a small dog barked at me while wiggling his tail. He's so cute. He dressed in blue. I love dogs.

"Sunny, come here."

She held her dog and sit on the sofa.

"Did you go to the bar?"

"Ahm, yes. I went there. But you are not there."

I asked the Mr. Bartender for your address because I am worried. Please don't be angry with him."

She just nodded.

"Are you there to drink? I don't have alcohol here."

"It is ok. Ahm did you take your medicine?"

"No, I need to eat first."

"Oh, you haven't eaten. Would you like me to cook for you?"

"Can you cook?"

"Yes, of course. What would you like to eat?"

"Anything in ref."

"Ok, just wait a minute.

I opened the ref. I saw some vegetables, lemon grass, mushrooms, shrimp, chicken, tomato etc. Maybe I can make Tom Yum Soup. I enrolled in a cooking lesson before so I am confident that I can cook.

After a few minutes I prepared a Tom Yum soup. I also cooked rice and Hainanese chicken. She needs more energy. I hope she would love what I prepared.

She fell asleep in her sofa. I sat beside her and touched her head. She's hot. I got a towel and warm water.

I started to wipe her body. I started in her head, face, neck. She's still so pretty that I can't take away my eyes on her. I am about to unbutton her polo shirt so I can wipe her body.

She opened her eyes and look at me. I panicked.

"You're so hot... that's why I wiped you with this."

I show her the towel.

"Sorry, I fell asleep."

"It's ok. I just finished cooking. Would you like to eat?"

"Yes, I am already hungry. Can you raise me up?" She gave her hand to me.

"Sure. I hold and grab her hand."

She got up but now her face is so near to me that I can feel her hot breath.

I felt my heart pounding again.

"Let's eat? Faye asked."

"Yes sure." I stand up immediately and go to dining table.

She walks smilingly to me as if she is teasing me.

"Wow, it looks delicious! I never had decent meal this past few days."

"I.. I.. hope you will like the taste."

"I am sure it’s delicious, you eat too. Thank you for the food, Yoko." She smiled again.

Sunny barked too as if he is asking food also. We laugh. I gave sunny boiled chicken.

"He likes you too., said Faye." Pointing to her dog Sunny.

"I like Sunny too. He is so adorable." Yoko smiled.

We finished the food and gave her medicine.

"How can you go back to your apartment?"

I felt sad when i heard it.

"Can I stay here with you tonight?"

"Why?"

"So, I can take care of you."

"Why?"

"Because you are sick."

"Why would you like to take care of me?"

she again asks why. I didn't know how and what to answer.

"Because...I like you. I want to be with you..."

When she heard that she kissed me in my cheek. I got surprised.

"I can't kiss your lips right now. I am sick."

She touched my lips and I got blushed.

"I think I should go home?"

"No, you stay with me. She hugs me."
