Marianna’s POV The doctor examined me and judged I was good to go. Only then did they let Antonia in. I’ve never seen her like this. Her expression was simply miserable and she wouldn’t look me in the eyes. “I’m sorry,” she said not raising her eyes. “I don’t understand why I said all those things. I didn’t mean them…” She ended in the middle of the sentence and looked at me with a desperate look. I was lying in the hospital bed and looking at her perplexed. I had already long forgotten about our quarrel. Sure, she didn’t say nice things, but I came to understand, that my reaction wasn’t caused only by her. And I did believe she didn’t mean them. “Please, let’s forget about it,” I said. “You shifted. Anna was indeed a wolf,” she said with a small smile. “I’m so glad you’re not harmed.
