“My Master, they seem perfectly unaware. They will try to present the girl in court."
"As a she-wolf?" I asked.
"Yes, a she-wolf from the Eastern Continent."
That was interesting. That meant they asked for help and the debt the eastern king had would be cleared. New perspectives would open for me.
If I had any doubts about the girl's origins, they were dispelled when she shifted. So my dear Anna was pregnant and gave birth to a child. But why was this child concealed so carefully, that it took me years to find her? And only by accident, because she was in Ludvica's Chant care. That was even more interesting. Anna covered her tracks carefully. Who would guess that she and Ludvica were connected? My spy had jet another task to deal with.
