Grosmer AgainWith the misshapen creatures dead, there was no need to hide. The cat creature had told them that the three men would not look out of their window nor venture outside as long as the Wolf Moon was in the sky and so Thadora took Monilla's reins and they passed across the valley in peace.
The next morning, one of the three men came out of the hut and crossed to the cage where they kept the captives.
He stopped in his tracks.
'What the…?' he exclaimed. There in the cage lay ten bodies. On closer examination, he saw that they all seemed to have died by being struck by lightning.
He returned to the hut to get his companions who both agreed that this was lighting, but how? It had been a clear night. The Wolf Moon had been clear to see. There had been no thunder.
