"Now what?" Ocean asked as I stood there, an uncertainty in her voice as she stroked Samuels ebony hair. His lips were slightly parted, and his long lashes created a shadow beneath his eyes. His skin was a bit paler than usual, no doubt the paleness being inherited from the moon. I knew exactly what I was going to do. And I wanted to do it alone. Ocean would only be a liability, and I knew it would be hard to pry her away from Samuel. "You stay here," I told her. "There's a few things I have to do." She raised a dark brow, taken back by the firmness in my voice. "It sounds like your doing chores more so than helping us escape." She commented. This time, I didn't hesitate blatantly rolling my eyes, making sure she noticed my irritation. She had been up and down with me this whole time.
