Chapter Eleven- Rose POV

I woke up in complete darkness. Fear took over and I began to panic. I couldn’t see or hear anything. It took a few minutes for me to remember what happened. I tried to get up but my entire body hurt. I couldn’t even use my hands to feel around, because something was restraining me tightly. I started yelling for help. Suddenly I heard a door open and close to the left of me.
“You’re finally awake my love. We must talk! You slept the entire way here. Oh how I’ve missed you!” He said, I recognized his voice but I couldn’t place it just yet.
“What do you want from me? Please just let me go. I don’t even know you!”
“Oh my love you do know me. We had seen each other almost every day for months. We know each other very well.” He said.
It suddenly clicked who kidn*pped me. Fear took over again, I just froze.
“Mr. Russels.” I whispered.
“See you do love me! You knew it was me. Is this as exciting for you as it is for me?” He asked, getting more and more excited.
“Mr. Russels I…” I began to say but he stopped me.
“Oh please Mr. Russels was just my cover name to get close to you. My real name is Jason McNight.”
“Okay, Jason, please take me home. My family will be so worried about me. I can’t bear to hurt them.”
“Rose, this is your home now. I can’t let you go back now!” He was yelling now.
I tried to contact Jasmine but it was silent. I couldn’t even feel her presence. I tried Mindlinking my dad, but the more I tried the more of a headache it was causing. I tried to stand up, but the ache was so great and I slumped back down on the cold concrete floor.
“Please stop trying to mindlink or contact your pathetic wolf. I gave you enough aconitum for an elephant. Everything will be dormant so we can be together.” He said sternly.
“Jason I would really like to go home, please. There isn’t anything between us. You were my mean math teacher and that is it. I was your student and I’m not even eighteen yet.” I said.
“I know your birthday is tomorrow night, so don’t play games. I AM YOUR HOME NOW!” He yelled. His voice echoing off the walls loudly. I flinched back but remained quiet. I need to be smart.
“You will never go back to him. You are mine. As soon as I saw him kiss you, I absolutely lost it. I needed to rush the plan. I had no choice you see. If you would have mated with that man, I wouldn’t have gained the powers he would have. That man isn’t worthy.” He was angrily rambling at this point.
“So that is what this is about? Powers?” I asked. I had no idea that whoever I mate with will gain power too. I wonder if Brandon knows that.
“Of course not. I love you!”
“People do not drug, kidnap, and tie up someone they love!” I yelled at him.
It pissed me off that this man thinks it's okay to take advantage of me. Then to take me from my home and try to convince me it is out of love.
The next thing I knew, my cheek burned and I could taste blood. He hit me in the face out of anger.
He grabbed me by my hair and said, “ get it through your head, you are mine and I love you. Someday you will love me.”
He released me and started pacing back and forth. Then his phone began to ring.
“What?” He said, frustrated.
“No I am not ready to leave her yet. I just got her to myself.”
“Fine, but it better be quick.” He quickly hung up.
It was too dark to see if he was looking at me or not, but I could hear him breathing still. He stepped closer to me but stopped when I scooted farther away. My back was against the cold wall.
“I need to go, but I will be back. Do not do anything stupid Rose. I will punish you if you do. Trust me you do not want that. As soon as I come back, if you are good, we will go to our house.”
“I need to pee.” I said.
“If you behave yourself then you can pee when I return.” He said, kissing the top of my head and left.
I was left in silence once again. I let out a breath that I didn’t even realize I was holding. At least right now he was gone, but I didn’t know for how long. I need to find a way out.
Suddenly I cried out, my head was pounding so bad, I thought I was going to pass out. Instead, I heard a soothing voice I didn’t know if I would hear again.
“Rose, I am here!” Jasmine said, I suddenly felt a power pulse throughout my body.
“Oh Jasmine, it is so great to hear your voice. I thought I had lost you. He said he gave me a-a, I don’t remember what it was called. I thought he took you away from me.” I said, starting to cry. I haven’t ever been so alone or felt so helpless in my life.
“I’m sorry Rose, he knocked you out before I could take control and help. He gave you wolfsbane, it makes you weak but it doesn’t affect you like it does other wolves. We will be able to at least mindlink our mate soon. I needed him to think what he did worked and you were weak, so we can be alone to come up with a plan.” Jasmine said.
“Do you have a plan?” I asked.
“You need to burn the ropes off Rose. You need to will the fire inside you but control it so no one knows. Just in case he has someone guarding us from outside. Then we can work from there.”
“Can’t you just take control and do this for us?”
“No Rose, you need to do this. He gave you too much wolfsbane. Sure it won’t kill us and it dissipates a lot faster in us. But it still stops us from transforming or allowing me to take control. You can do this Rose. You are a lot stronger than you think. It is time you start believing in yourself. You are not a victim.” Jasmine said.
As much as it upset me to hear her say that, she was right. I needed to take control and learn how to save myself. I can’t expect others to help me, if I don’t help myself. I took a deep breath in and willed the fire within me to come out. I focused on my wrists and soon there were little flames before me, burning off the ropes. The fire surprisingly enough felt cool against my skin but there was nothing left of the rope.
“Jasmine is there a way I can control the fire enough to use it as a light to see but for it not to get out of control?” I asked her.
“Just focus on the control. You can do it. If it gets too strong, breathe deeply and refocus.
I opened my hand, thought about what I wanted to happen and a small flame sat in my hand. It danced beautifully, making me feel warm again.
I looked around me and realized that I am in some sort of large warehouse. There are large shipping containers all around with fish logos on the side. But instead of smelling like fish, I could only smell rust, metal, and mold.
Another wave of pain hit my head, dropping me to my knees, the flames in my head disappeared and I sat in the fetal position for a few seconds. Then I got a mindlink from Brandon.
“Rose baby are you there? Please answer.” It was my mate
“Brandon I’m here.”
“Oh thank the goddess. We have been looking for you for 24 hours. We have trackers, but whoever took you covered your scents well.”
“Brandon, it's Mr. Russels. He took me. I am in some abandoned warehouse. He said he will be back and will take me to our Home. Brandon I want to be back home with you, my parents and the pack.”
“I’m coming for you baby. Tell me anything you see or hear describe it for me and I will come get you and bring you home.”
“There are fish logos on the side of the containers but I don’t smell fish. Just rust. Um it's eerily quiet Brandon.”
“I know where that is, but Rose you need to try and escape before I get there in case he comes back. I’m not too far from there, it shouldn’t take me too long to get there from where I am now, but you need to try to get out and head north. I will find you baby.”
“Thanks Brandon, I can’t wait to see you.” I said calmly. I didn’t even get a chance to get to know my mate because of everything else going on.
“Rose, kill anyone who gets in your way. Do not hold back. Just get out. I will see you soon.” I nodded my head.
“Oh and Rose, when I get you back, you are never leaving my sight again.” He added.
All I could do was giggle and blush. My mate is coming to get me. I just needed to focus on getting out and on heading north.
