Chapter Four- Rose POV

479 Words
I decided to open my eyes and stand. I am still in wolf form, standing on all fours. I look over to my family and they are all staring at me shocked. I try to ask them what’s wrong but it only comes out as a growl. Finally my dad understands and mindlinks me.      “Baby girl, you are amazing. But you aren’t what we expected. Your mother is a gray wolf, I am a large brown. But not only are you pure white with a crescent moon on your head, but you are huge. The size of an alpha, if not bigger.”      “What do I do dad? I can’t blend in, there aren’t any other white wolves.”     “We will have to go deeper into the forest so that no one can see you. But for now, focus on your human form and we will get you some clothes. You need to eat.”     I did what he said, soon enough I was back to my human form. My mom rushed to my side with a dress for me to put on. My dad and Mr. Stevenson had their backs to me. My mom kept hugging me, telling me how Beautiful my wolf was, and how proud she was.      Suddenly our front door busted open and Alicia appeared. All we can do is roll our eyes at her dramatics. We decided it was a good time to eat dinner.      It was delicious, chicken parmigiana, my favorite. Conversations at the table were light. We discussed Alicia’s cheerleading practice and about the party that  Luna Abby was throwing for their oldest son Brandon. He has been away studying other packs abroad for the last two years. He will be taking over as Alpha as soon as he finds his mate.      Since my dad is head warrior and a highly respected member of the community, my family is required to attend the party. So my mom said this weekend we will be going to get our dresses for the event. Apparently Alicia and Molly will be going with us.     I was feeling exhausted at this point, I just wanted to go to bed. “Rose what is going on with you? You don’t seem like yourself?” Asked Alicia.      “I’m sorry girl, I am so tired, I had my first shift like 10 minutes before you arrived so I am just wore out.” I yawned as I told her this.      “You shifted early? Is it because of what happened in class today?” Her eyes were big in surprise.      “Yes, I think so. I think my emotions got the best of me.”     “Alicia, just so you know from now on Rose will be homeschooled but can attend school events. So please keep her in the loop about everything.” Said Mr. Stevenson.
