Valeria POV
“What can we do to stop that war?” I asked.
“They think that you’re weak right now.” Sister Athena replied. “In order for you to avoid this war, you need both your wolf and your powers at full capacity. The power will make them realize that you are too strong for them, and they will back down. They want to strike while they think that you’re out of the game. That’s why you were Celeste’s target. With you gone, she could make the vampires and lycans fight each other until both kingdoms were in ruins. Now that she’s dead, they’re launching plan B.”
I shook my head.
“I’m dying from wolfsbane poisoning.” I replied. “My wolf is gone, and my power is getting weaker as my body is deteriorating.”
“Then I guess we have to find a cure for you.” Sister Athena shrugged.
“Wait.” Tyson said and took a step forward. “Are you telling me that you’ve had a vision about a cure?”
“I have not.” Sister Athena replied. “But I had a vision about the girl that did.”
“Huh?” I frowned. “So you’re saying that someone else out there had a vision about where to find a cure for something that our scientists at Maxwell building have been working on for years without a result?”
“Yes.” Sister Athena replied.
“Where can we find her?” Tyson asked.
“We don’t have to.” Sister Athena replied.
She turned around and stared off against the village while the rest of us exchanged confused glances.
“Alright, I’m really sorry, Sister Athena, but you’ve lost me.” Tyson said and put his hands up.
“Me too.” I said sheepishly.
“Any minute now.” Sister Athena sighed.
We waited in confused silence while Sister Athena and the rest of the witches kept their eyes on the village.
“Umm- I just got a mindlink that there are two girls by the gate that are very adamant to see the Alpha and Luna.” Kayden frowned.
I frowned too.
“Is that what you’re waiting for?” I asked.
Sister Athena nodded.
“Let them through.” She said.

Tyson POV
I pursed my lips at being ordered around by a witch, but I gave Kayden a nod to allow them in.
I still had no idea what was going on, but sister Athena had helped us before, and I knew better than to disrespect her.
We waited another few minutes until a patrol squad showed up, carrying two young girls on their backs. Based on their smell, I could tell that they were werewolves. One of them looked like she was in her late teens, and the other one was even younger than that. I immediately sensed that neither of them had their wolves, so I knew that they were just kids.
Why would kids travel here to see us? And why did sister Athena think that they had a vision about a cure?
When the wolves stopped. The older girl slid off the wolf’s back, thanked him and hurried to help the younger girl. The younger girl had huge glasses on her face, making her look slightly bug-eyed as the glasses enhanced the size of her eyes.
“Thank you for seeing us, your majesties.” The older girl said and bowed.
“Hello.” I greeted. “And who might you be?”
“I’m Jasmine, my king, and this is my sister Emma.” Jasmine replied and gestured to the younger girl.
“It’s nice to meet you, Jasmine and Emma.” I smiled. “What brings you here?”
Jasmine frowned at Emma, who was staring at Sister Athena.
“Are you okay?” Jasmine whispered.
Emma sucked in a breath while sister Athena smiled.
“I’m so glad that you finally made it.” She grinned, making me frown in confusion again.
“Do you know them, Sister Athena?” Valeria asked.
Sister Athena kept smiling, walked up to Emma and took her hands.
“Oh I’ve waited for this day for a long time.” She said shakily, sounding like she was about to cry.
Emma blinked, but I didn’t see either hesitation nor confusion on her face. She smiled back and hugged sister Athena.
Jasmine looked startled too, and she shrugged when I raised an eyebrow at her. It didn’t seem as if she understood any more than me.
“Em, you know this woman?” Jasmine asked.
“I do.” Emma replied. “She’s my mother.”
My eyes widened.
“Really?” I asked in disbelief and turned to sister Athena. “Do you have a daughter? With a werewolf?”
Sister Athena chuckled.
“I knew that witch seers were always targets.” She replied. “Not only to other supernaturals, but to other rivaling covens.”
She caressed Emma’s cheek with her hand.
“When Emma was born, I got a vision of our coven being attacked.” She replied. “I was afraid that they would come for Emma, so I hid her in the forest where I predicted that she would be found by a nice family.”
Sister Athena gently took Emma’s hand in hers and turned it to expose her lower arm. She lifted the sleeve slightly and I leaned forward to see a small mark on her arm.
“This is a spell, dear.” Sister Athena said. “This has masked your scent and gave you the scent of a werewolf instead. I think it’s time to reveal who you truly are.”
She dragged her finger across the mark, whispering words I couldn’t understand. The mark glowed green for a moment before it slowly disappeared from her skin.
“Whoa.” Jasmine gasped, her eyes wide.
Suddenly, there was a different smell emanating from Emma.
“Yup, now she smells like a witch.” I announced and gestured towards the castle. “Perhaps we should continue this reunion inside? It feels like we have a lot to talk about.”
Sister Athena nodded.
“You’re right.” She replied and pulled Emma closer to her.
Emma immediately clung to sister Athena and from the corner of my eye, I saw Valeria wipe a tear off her cheek.
I lingered outside until everyone had gone inside and pulled her to me.
“Are you okay?” I asked.
“Yeah.” Valeria whispered. “I’m just so happy for them, that’s all.”
I smiled.
“Me too.” I replied and took her hand. “Now, let’s see if we can find you a cure.”
