F L A S H B A C K A girl was sleeping peacefully forgetting the whole world. She was snuggling more and more into her duvet. It felt she didn’t have any plan to get up from her peaceful slumber. But her slumber broke when a ray of sun peeped into her room as someone removed the curtain from the window. She tried to get into her comforter to get some more sleep. The lady smiled seeing her antics. “Aahana, get up. It’s morning,” the lady sat beside Aahana and started caressing her hairs. Aahana moved her head from pillow to her lap and wrapped her hands around her stomach.  “Hmm,” she just hmmed and again got back to her sleep. “No more word. We are getting late.” Aahana opened her eyes a little and looked at her with sleepy eyes, “What, mumma? Why are we getting late?” She made a pout. “You forgot it’s your cousin Pia’s wedding next week and we are supposed to leave for that today. Here you are sleeping forgetting everything,” Mumma said glaring at her. “Mumma, what’s the need of going so soon? You know I don’t like going anywhere and what will we do going so early? I’m not going today,” Aahana whined like baby only to receive a sharp look from her mother. She mouthed a sorry to her. Mumma said sternly, “I don’t know, we are going today only. Your papa also asked you to come with me.” “Mumma, please, I don’t want to go today. I will come later with papa.” “No, you are coming today only. Your aunt and Pia will go for shopping with you only. Get up fast and don’t persist more,” mumma said patting her cheek, Aahana got up with a bad face. She was still sitting in the bed huffing. But as mumma said she is left with no other option than going with her. She knew it very well that she can’t win over her mother. So, arguing with her is just waste of time. Aahana has admitted for graduation this year. She still has sometime before her class starts. So, she was chilling in home only. Pia is her aunt’s sister. All the hustle bustle is for her marriage only. It’s been almost 2 years since she has not visited them. That’s why this time they strictly ordered her to come and now she has to go a whole week before the wedding. When they reached at her aunt’s place, it was already night. Seeing her after so many days, everyone got busy with her. They surrounded her and wasn’t ready to leave her even for a moment. She was tired and all this was taking a tole on her. But she wasn’t able to say anything. Pia understood her dilemma, “Aahana, go and take rest. You must be tired. Also we will be going for shopping tomorrow.” Aahana nodded and went with her to grab some rest before they could stop her again, Next day “Aahana, get up. We have to go for shopping,” Pia was trying to wake her up but she didn’t pay any heed to her. Being irritated after some more call, Aahana replied, “I am really tired. Can’t we go later? I need some sleep.” That time Aahana’s mothe was coming and she heard her, “Aahana, what’s this? Don’t be lazy brat. Get up. Everyone is waiting for you.” Aahana is getting really irritated. She doesn’t like long journeys. The long plane journey of yesterday is already taking a toll on her and now this shopping. She doesn’t want to go at all. But she can’t even deny. She just can’t make everyone sad for her own sake. With a bad mood, Aahana went to get ready. It was 9 at night when they finally got back home from shopping. But they couldn’t buy much things. She is already scared thinking how many more times she has to go for shopping with them. At Night Aahana was standing in the balcony. Her back was facing the door. She was staring the sky. She loves gazing the stars. Her trance broke when she felt a pull in her hairs lightly. She turned back with a frown. There stood Ishan with all his aura and all time famous smirk. Ishan is the son of her mother’s best friend. They knew each other since their childhood though he is elder to her for 2 or 3 years. They never got much close to each other or that’s what they thought. But everytime they met, they are behind each other’s life. “What’s up, potato?” Ishan asked. His face still had the smirk. Aahana glared at her. Her eyes were spitting fire, “Why did you pull my hair? And how dare you call me potato?” “Because you look like a potato. Just look at your face,” Ishan replied laughing loudly. Aahana screamed, “Shut up.” She again turned back to the sky. “Why didn’t you come here for so many days? Forget about our place,” he asked. There was something different in his voice that she could feel but couldn’t pin point what it is. “I don’t like going anywhere,” Aahana was leaving after uttering this but Ishan held her hand in his tight grip. “Why don’t you reply my messages even when you are online?” He asked and anger could be clearly seen in his voice. Aahana was struggling to free her hand from his grip, “Ishan, leave me. It’s hurting.” He didn’t leave her and pull her back a little, “Let it hurt. This is your punishment for not replying to my messages. Now say why don’t you reply to my texts?” “My boyfriend asked me not to, that’s why. Happy? Now leave me else I will call aunty,” Aahana replied sternly. This time Ishan held her more tightly, “Oh! Really? Who is that i***t? Who agreed to be in a relationship with you? This time Aahana too got angry. She shouted on top of her voice, “Aunty, come here. Say something to Ishan.” Hearing her shout  Ishan’s mother, Aahana’s mother and her cousins came there. “Why are you shouting? What happened?” Aahana’s mother asked seeing her frowning badly. “Ishan pulled my hair and also called me potato,” Aahana pouted sadly. Ishan’s mother glared at her caressing Aahana’s hairs, “Ishan, why do you always pull her leg? I has asked you so many time not to do this.” Aahana left from there and went to Pia’s room. She was sitting on her bed puffing her cheeks like a baby. “Did anyone say you anything? Why are all grumpy?” Pia asked taking her seat beside Aahana. Aahana remarked sarcastically, “Who else? The only person who annoys me is already here.” Pia laughed hearing her, “Oh! Ishan…Let me guess you have a fight with him. When will you two grow up? Always keep on fighting with each other.” “I didn’t fight with anyone. He comes to me and starts the argue first,” Aahana glared at her. “Fine. Don’t be sad now. Lets go and have dinner.” “You go. I don’t feel like eating anything. I just want to sleep,” Aahana turned back to sleep. Pia didn’t let her and pulled her, “Don’t sleep now. First have something then you are ready to crash anywhere. Don’t be stubborn.” “I really don’t feel like eating, my head is paining like hell. Please, don’t force me,” Aahana pleaded. Pia too didn’t force her anymore and made her sleep, then went down to have dinner. Precap: New day.
