Next morning Aahana got up with a jerk when she felt something wet on her face. Actually a splash suddenly. She became confused with the sudden happening. She wiped her face sitting on the bed and looked around carefully. Then her rage crossed the limit as she noticed Ishan still standing there beside her bed with an empty glass in his hand showing his oh so white teeth.
“What the hell did you just do and why are you in my room?” Aahana asked fuming in anger. She felt like pulling her hairs. She got down from the bed and stood in front of Ishan pointing her finger towards him.
Ishan just shrugged his shoulder as if nothing happened, “I just woke you up from your beauty sleep as it’s already morning. So, times up for sleep.”
Aahana shouted on top of her voice, “This is too much, Ishan.” Then mumbled, “What kind of uncultured manner less behaviour is this? Can’t you behave like normal human being? Monkey.”
Ishan laughed hearing her. “When was I normal that I will behave like one?” At the end he winked at her making her blood boil more. “Everyone is already up. Only you were sleeping like a pig. Now tell me what kind of cultured behaviour that was?” Ishan rose his eyebrows making Aahana frown.
“Hufff!!! He just ruined my mood early in the morning. Jerk.....” Aahana whispered but it was loud enough for Ishan to hear. Then she just left from there not wanting to argue with his anymore.
Ishan who was standing behind laughed in his mind. He was looking at her retreating figure with a expression which was unreadable. “It’s just the beginning. Wait and watch how much more come to your way, darling.” Ishan said in mind and laughed devilishly.
Aahana was coming down from stairs muttering numerous abuses to Ishan. Seeing her sad face Ishan's mother stopped her, “What happened to you, Aahana? Why are looking so sad early in the morning?”
She tried to smile at her not wanting to face more questions, “Nothing, aunty. I'm fine.” She tried to leave but Ishan’s mother didn’t let her.
But Ishan’s mother didn’t buy her lie, “You will say and I will believe you? I know there is something, now tell me what it is? Why are you wet like this?”
This time Aahana couldn’t stop herself and complained, “See... Ishan threw water on me when I was sleeping. He didn’t let me sleep. He was making fun of me saying I was sleeping like pig.”
Ishan’s mother believed her knowing her son’s nature very well. She murmured under her breath, “What will I do with this boy? He never listens to me.” Then she turned towards Aahana and patted her hairs lovingly, “ Aahana, I will talk to Ishan and scold him. He won’t do it again, okay?” She nodded her head with a smile. Ishan’s mother too smiled, “Now go and freshen up. Then have breakfast. Don’t be sad. I will pull his ears for making you sad.”
At breakfast table
Aahana sat to have breakfast with all her cousins. Fortunately or unfortunately Ishan was sitting just beside her. But she was completely ignoring Ishan nor he did anything. Her concentration was fully on her food.
Other side Ishan was talking and laughing with everyone. He was talking more than eating. He wasn’tat all attentive towards his plate. He was gulping morsels without looking at the plate. Aahana noticed it. Suddenly a wicked idea hit her mind.
Aahana knew it very well that Ishan can’t tolerate spicy foods at all. A devilish smirk crept on her face looking at his face. Aahana got a green chilly from the nearby busket which was kept there for some unknown reason to her good luck. But she cared less for the reason till it was helping her plan.
Aahana took the chilly and kept it between Ishan’s sandwich which went unnoticed by everyone present there as they were too busy in talking. This time too Ishan took a bite without looking at the food and chewed the chilly.
As soon as the spice of chilly hit his taste bud, Ishan started jumping like a bunny. Everyone were looking at him with total confusion written on their face that what happened to him suddenly. Aahana was laughing rolling on the floor in mind but she couldn’t show that on her face. She maintained a straight face.
How much she wished to capture the moment and cherish for the lifetime!!!
She hid her expression and faking complete innocence, she asked Ishan, “What happened, Ishan? Why are you jumping like a mad person? Is everything okay?”
Ishan wasn’t in a condition to reply anything to her. He was just jumping trying to gasp air in his mouth. He was patting his head continuously. Everyone started laughing seeing him when Aahana's mother came there and scolded everyone.
“What’s there to laugh so much? Instead of giving him water, you all are showing your teeth. Useless, creatures,” she gave him water and was rubbing his back continuously to calm him down. “Don’t you all know Ishan can’t have spice at all?”
“Ishan, if you can’t tolerate spice, then why did you make your sandwich spicy?” Pia asked from side.
Ishan snapped at her still huffing with the continuous jumping, “I didn’t take the chilly nor I made it spicy.” Then he again started gulping water to wash the effect of chilly from his mouth but it wasn’t helping much.
“If you gulp your food without watching, then it will only happen. Huhhh!!!” Aahana said and got up from her seat. She directly went to her room from there.
Seeing her going like this, Ishan got to know it’s Aahana’s mischief only. He kept looking at her retreating figure and noted in mind, “You didn’t do it right, Aahana. You will have to pay for this. Now just wait for me.” He smirked evilly at the end.
All the guests have already arrived for the wedding. The house is filled with the relatives. One night after coming back from shopping, the younger clan decided to mooch in the terrace.
As per the plan, they were sitting and having fun. Aahana and Ishan were also there. Ishan got up suddenly and went down saying he had some important work. Everyone nodded and again got back to their talk.
Out of nowhere Ishan got a jug filled with cold water while coming up. He emptied it on Aahana who got up with a jerk. Ishan smirked watching her reaction. But as soon Aahana turned towards him, he hid that and faked a shocking innocent expression, “Sorry... I'm really sorry, Aahana. It just slipped out of my hand. I wasn’t intended to do it.”
“Don’t need to act smart. I know you did it intentionally,” Aahana was beyond pissed with his action. She was so angry that she was confused that how to react.
Before Ishan could say in his defence, Aahana’s mother reached there. Her eyes fell on Aahana who was totally wet. She panicked seeing Aahana in that condition, “Aahana, how did you get wet at this hour?”
“I didn’t get wet by myself. Ishan threw water on me and did this,” Aahana replied sarcastically giving a death glare to Ishan who was standing behind her mother trying to control his laughter. Aahana could see the mischief in his eyes without fail.
Ishan to cover up himself started saying, “Aunty, I didn’t do it intentionally. I was passing and the jug slipped from my hand. Aahana was sitting beside and it fell on her.”
Aahana snapped at him, “Stop lying. I know your intentions really well. So, don’t pretend.”
Aahana was about to say something more but her mother cut her in middle, “Shh! Aahana, quiet. Who does this intentionally? Ishan didn’t do it on purpose. Now I don’t want anymore discussion on this. Go down and change your dress. You catch cold easily, so go fast. Don’t forget to wipe your hairs and dry them.”
Aahana nodded and forwarded her pace to go down but not before giving a deadly look to Ishan. Her eyes were spiting fire. If look could burn, then Ishan would have turned into ashes till now.
Coming down, Aahana directly went to her room and changed her dress. She was drying her hair siting in front of the mirror and muttering uncountable curses to Ishan. She was burning in rage. It felt she would have killed Ishan, if he was in front of her.
